Vladimir Ivanov is fantastic, he plays in THREE disciplines (MS, MD, XD) in this tourney, the only player who takes such role! Luckily he only makes into SF in MD... can't imagine if he makes all the three show ups in R8 or SF :D

this Russian guy earns the respect for his physical endurance!! And his play as well :)

Unfortunately, Ivanov's King Kong chest will be under severe pressure from Indonesian-driven missiles, to force short lifts.

Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan should be well energized to topple King Kong and company. Yesterday, Krisna told Ahsan to take a lot of rest after conking out the Olympic Champs. Possible repeat of the Malaysian Open MD final on the cards .......

I am now with clawhammers and gang, with good view at the VIP seats, just beneath Gillian Clark and beside the photographers seating area.

These pics are so fun. As always the IO PSS puts on a great show to showcase badminton and their personalities. Sorry, but can someone please put some names to the faces (other than the obvious ones) :)

GC said the same thing yesterday in her intro, about the stadium being a "rocking" venue

Hayom looks a little on edge. LCW 3-0

Hayom into the net for the second time 4-0

Big smash from Hayom and that will be good for his confidence. 2-6

Our, ahem, strategic VIP seating position paid dividends when Marc Zwiebler lobbed a Djarum T-shirt right at me and clawhammers.

But the size is too big for clawhammers, so I, err, had to take possession of it. Might even wear it tomorrow.

So, you will have to support MZ against your countryman?

How did you dare to hint even the slightest 'rasuah' insinuation against our respectable main first source photographic contributor to BC? :D don't do it... or we all risk the blackened views

Nope - I will support Djarum, under whatever name the event will be called from next year. With hopefully a new brand of, ahem, legendary girls.

The t-shirt is from Djarum ......

And sure, I'm wearing the shirt tomorrow.

No need the Djarum girls. Just a photo of yourself wearing the t-shirt.

I hear many girls cheering in the stadium. Most probably the only males left are abedeng and clawhammers.

i believe it needs a BC forum-wide polling for such crucial decision... hmmm think your position is the minor one here :D most will favor Djarum cuties!
