flute shot LCW won becasue : 1. Statistically he has too 2. LD offday - otherwise LCW doesn't have so much room to move - LD allows LCW to control game 3. LCW defensive play is out of touch . The best defence is to attack . During his Li Moa coach he was doing that. What happen to his half smashes , jump smash -- all gone ? 4. LD uses same technique on LCW in AE but not in SWISS - Smash and run to net anticipate poor return. Overall LCW can't beat him if goes on like this. Misbun still training LCW in to a stroke play. This is not Lim Siew King's era la... Nowdays its about power play.
yep, his game today is indeed superb, ,well, next up: major title ..agree with this so now, mind to share with us your 1000 words essays of view of mas camp performance in the recently concluded swiss open. mas boleh to u
yep, i have to agree that its still a loong way to go for chong wei. we can't deny it. there's still some major title for him to win though
^^Watch out for..^^ ..if Ka-zaaam was for deleting posts, then watch out for Ban-zaaam, that's when they start banning members..
I like it when you mentioned national morale. It is good to know I have a fellow Malaysian that is caring. But look at the dead woods like KBH & HH we are maintaining in our badminton team today. KBH, for an example have been in the national team for 10 years. And the guy have not been performing. 10 years of non performance and we are still keeping him. It is pretty much the same with HH. We are sending these dead woods to overseas tournaments on public funds and this is boosting our national morale?? At present, many Malaysians are experiencing retrenchment, loss of income, unemployment and facing challenges when it comes to making ends meet. You are saying by sending or maintaining these underperforming shuttlers to expensive tournaments in Europe will boost these Malaysians' morale?? We also have many young Malaysians unable to pursue their studies because they dont have the money or unable to get scholarships into local universities. Or talented Malaysians having no alternatives but to migrate to seek better opportunities. Keeping a bunch of under-performing shuttlers will boost this group of Malaysians' morale? I am not saying we ban badminton or close BAM shop. I am saying we use public funds prudently and shuttlers that under performed be weed out early. We ought to send only our best, not the entire group or what have not.
Just because we wasted a few hundred billions of taxpayers money on other white elephant projects, it is ok for BAM to splash out on underperforming shuttlers.
These deadwoods are unfortunately, one of our better players. If we don't send them out for tournaments, how would they sharpen themselves for Thomas Cup? We already send a number of support staff to overseas tournaments, coaches, managers, therapists etc. The "deadwoods" going along will not add much to the cost. It may sound a lot to individual people, but in the context of the total government budget, it is extremely insignificant. Seriously, if you want to expand energy to save tax-payers money, there are much effective causes to take up than to stop a few badminton players from going to tournaments.
Sad to say, that was what happening. I am sure we would have a different story to be tell now if we'd worked on it in a different way before. We cannot alter history, so, make a new one. Seeds like HH and KBH should be a lesson, not just a dissapointment. Aye for this one. Don't call badminton as a waste. It hurts.
Friend, you've got a few points there about what happening in Malaysia.. And we know there are alot of sensitive issues involved, and lots of questions. Someone asked questions like "Why Malaysia wanna act like a hustler donate 3.5M to Gaza while other countries donated an amount on what they can afford?" :: What more with the issues you're stated above currently? This was a question which ppl brought up which many don't know how to reply logically, then more start to come up with dumb issues, arguements etc...... So seriously... lets just talk about badminton and badminton here....
LCW is just awesome, dawsome. I see more Malaysians now wanting to be involved - bring them on those detractors of LCW.
These points are also currently being discussed in the Prof Players threads (read : more than 1 thread). The question posed at the beginning of the thread, has been answered = 2 titles at 2009 Swiss SS.
