Nigeria and South Africa grabbed TUC Final phase tickets when both countries faced each other in preliminary final day on Thursday night (21/02/08). Here's the result :

    - Thomas Cup : Nigeria beat South Africa, 3-0
    - Uber Cup : South Africa beat Nigeria, 3-2

Usually, South Africa is strong the African continent. Looks like Nigeria is cutting in, easily winning the men's section and narrowly losing in the women's.

You sometimes see Nigerians in open international competitions but usually walkover. There is also a chance that they may seek political asylum in the countries they compete in. So, Indonesia better be ready.
