Since it looks like Adidas changed all the strings, but E68, let's have a new thread.

That's all I know so far, E68 is still a great Alternative for NBG99, in my opinion, but I cannot say anything about the other ones, other than that I'm a bit disappointed that F66 is gone.

    Why no more A68...?
Glad that I stocked some packs.

    Also only white strings? Really?

Yeah... from limited color choices to none.

I think that is the same strings, just thinner (asked about that, waiting for a reply), but from .68 to .63 mm is quite a jump.

Judging by the above pictures it's only one string available in three gauges.

They now all have the same "Core, jacket and Skin". Each of the old strings were different.
Of course we don't know yet if that really makes a difference.

Judging from having tried A68, F66, P68 and E68, it's probably very different strings.

So my friend tell me that his friend from other club want to sell his Wucht P8 for good deal.
I ask if i can test it 1st & he OK with it. But as we will have long Holiday, probably i will get in in 2-3 weeks.
Now as its strung with posibbly P68 (googling around & if you buy new P8, it come with P68 string as bonus) & with unknown tension (the owner didnt even know or ask what tension he want). What to expect from this string compare to BG66UM? So when im testing it, i could judge the racket fairly & wont say its bad racket but actually it coz of bad string.

It's been a while since I played this string, but from memory...

The only similarity between BG66UM and P68 is that they lose the playability rather quickly. The best feel comparison for P68 I have is NBG99, although E78 is closer to that. P68 and E68 are not all that different, other than the initial feel being better with P68, but E68 staying playable longer.

Good luck testing a racket with an unknown tension!

    yeah.:)
Actually its quite common beginner mistake. I ask my friend why his friend sell it & he said coz he didnt like the racket. Makes his arm sore & very exhausting.
Then i ask, what racket he play before & surprisingly its Lining WS series, & currently TK HMR L. All light racket & he buy P8 which are 3U stiff racket:eek:

Maybe you should just take this burden off of him and buy it. It's not the "lazy racket, but a really good one and you seem to like rackets on the heavier side and it's not as extreme as some others. If it's in good condition and the price is fine for you, just get her and treat her with a stringjob she deserves...

    I tried the P68 at 28lbs.

Great sounding string. Sounds like a pistol being shot. It turns heads.

Power is excellent. Control not quite as good as 66UM but perhaps I'm not used to it.

A string that needs to be at a high tension for it to shine. Loses tension fast so needs to be strung 2 to 3 pounds higher than normal.

I stringed P67.1 a couple of players. It broke in the middle after just a couple of matches at junior level. Met some angry fathers can I report back...
