Both seem to be pretty identical: Both have the same grip setup which is RKEP G10 on bare wood. The measurement also matches my personal feeling.
New Adidas rackets coming in August https://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/index.php?threads/adidas-badminton-2020.185366/
Here is my A3 dry BP 290 with plastic wrap. Frame looks like Yonex NF series. String pattern likely 2+3.
What string are you going to use? Bg80 power orange looks and feels great, I've got ashaway rogue duo in another of my a3 which also looks good but I've not used it yet. I'm tempted to put some black string in sometime when I need one restringing.
My first choice would be 66F 27lbs 2knots If 66F not available, then 80. I always use white color string. Have to wait until next month, maybe more
The grip? It's original grip with single overgrip. I used to remove the original grip and use a PU super grip but I'm trying this setup to keep original grip intact.
So original grip replaced with a PU is probably almost the same, but overgrip seems to be overlapped even thrice so that is why it seems to be quite thick. but the gripping is indeed very personal
for me now a days the most important thing at every moment to know which grip I am using backhand/forehand and the feel of that is the best when grip surface is as flat as possible
Its been quiet in this thread, hopefully we can get back to using our adidas rackets soon! I think its going to be hard work for my old shoulder when I first play again!
Ive managed to get hold of an Adizero Tour II & Adizero Pro II from the old Adidas range. I had a few Switch Pro but never tried the Tour II or Pro II. I can't wait to get back on court and try them out when UK leisure centres are back open.
Hi. I am new to adidas. I have a few questions. I am an intermediate player with less experience. I play with 25 or 26 lbs tension and thicker strings (Like vbs70 or bg65) I started with head heavy racquets (like VT50 etune), and moved on to even balanced and some head light ones(hx800ltd, js10, ashaway sonic 99). I am told that I am particularly good in smashes, but I actually like the even/slightHH rackets. I use N7 for singles and any one of the above rackets for doubles. Questions: I understand that Uberschall and Kalkul range is more forgiving to mishits. Which one feels more solid while hitting? F1 or F2? F2 seems to have an inner carbon core, which should increase the solid feel in papers. Which one is faster? A2 or F2? F2 seems to have more aerodynamic shape, but A2 has a slimmer shaft. How does spieler F09.1 compare to these? The point which got my interest is 80 holes/grommets. the strings would be denser than others right? Does the F1/F2 74 holes make a difference at moderate tension like 25lbs? If I want a fast one with some hitting power, should I choose F1 or F2 or A2? I know there are a lot of questions. Thanks a lot for the help.
Hi, welcome to Adidas! The 2018 range is very good quality and just as good as Victor, Li Ning and other high end brands in my opinion. Ive used most of the Kalkul and Uberschall ranges and now have a few Wucht rackets that im going to try when possible. For me the Kalkul range has a more solid feel and gave similar feedback to Victor rackets. The Kalkul A5 has similar feel to 4u JS10, its a very fast racket. If you want a little more power then the A3 is ideal. The A2 was a little too flexible for me but really nice balance, its similar in some ways to Bravesword 12 in terms of flex and speed. The Uberschall range is really nice looking and has still a nice feel to it. The F3 is a good alrounder, similar to the A3 but a slighter more dull feel. The Uber F5 is still a fast frame but more head weight for additional power. Ive got F1 and F2 but not used them yet. Ive also got Wucht P1, P2 and P3 to try properly when back on court. These are marketed as power frames but still not slow frames. I tried a different P3 for a while which had a good feel with a little flex, it was a thicker frame than the Kalkul and Uber rackets but was fast enough in defence. The Spieler A09.1 I only tried very briefly, the one I used was factory strung to a low tension but it still felt good for its low price. I also had the F09.1SL for testing but this was far too light for me so I didn't really use it. If you need any additional information im sure I or others can assist. There has been lost of others testing these rackets over the last 2 years.
