I heard there were new rackets being added to the Adidas line-up later in 2020 but just saw this info on Wucht P4 on central sports website. Coming in August! https://www.centralsports.co.uk/products/adidas-wucht-p4-badminton-racket From the pictures the P4 looks to have a similar frame to the P7/P8 made for power players, the P3 didn't have the wider parts of the frame so was more of an all round racket. Let's hope there are lots more rackets to come. UPDATE - FALSE INFO, THESE RACKETS WERE NEVER SOLD IN STORES
Now found a new version of P3 https://www.centralsports.co.uk/products/adidas-wucht-p3-badminton-racket It looks like a great mix of power and speed! UPDATE - FALSE INFO, THESE RACKETS WERE NEVER SOLD IN STORES
That frame with these specs... at that price [£90]? WOW!?! That almost gets a blind recommendation from me right now.
That looks ready made for you! I'm hoping for more Kalkul and Uberschall frames. The new P3 looks tempting too though! I tried the old one briefly which felt good.
Adidas need to do something on Indo market. Their fame is not quite good but their price is sky rocket for not to good fame. Interest to try but coz of the price i doubt to get one as if i dont like it, it would be hard for me to sell cos... Well its not Yonex or Lining or Victor.
72 holes and boxy frame? completely nothing new, I think these rackets where in central sports like for ages, you could find them only through google though, would love to get very stiff even 3u from them
I randomly saw the P4 pictures when looking at the P5 spec. I would say the A3 fits the stiff/even/3u bracket, it's a great racket.
I really like the Adidas range, the Wucht rackets don't suit my style but I can still feel the quality in them when I tested them. The price for the P4 looks good value. The Kalkul and Uberschall ranges are as good in my opinion as the Victor, Yonex, Li Ning and other brands I have used previously.
nah way too light, I need at least 40g head weight, a3 with 85g and even balance would be very far away from that, but yea if to add 4-5grams to it - would take three, after trying even racket I do not think that I will play with head heavy one for really long while, I will still be keeping my uberschalls in the bag, but my main driver will be blaze sx8800j cv (got 3) - it is faster than f5 probably due to being thinner at the whole bottom half of the head and even balance.
The A3 I weighed was exactly 40g head weight and 93.5g overall. That's strung with original grip and single over grip
so with my setup it would be 38g, may be even less. minus the weight of original grip (5-6g) devided by two
If I remember correctly, the A3 is around 37g head weight dry. The grip factors in way less than half of its weight and I guess you add something on the wood to play with... with any strings you'll end up somewhere above 2 39 g unless you have s total outlier.... and my copy was already at the lower end of the weight range.
I weighted soft/replacment grip it is - 9g, so 93.5 with original and overgrip puts racket into even middle/lower 4u teritory the same story as with f5
never doubt on their product quality as im a fanboy of the world. I use any kind of brand as long it exist on earth & ofcourse man made not alien tech. But they need to rise up their fame. Rarely anyone know brand like Adidas or even Kawasaki (it motor not racket) for badminton. Its like jewelry covered in mud. & their price here is kinda high as the market they are enter is on giant mall sport store which is basically expensive. Interest to try one but for the price, it would be difficult to sell it if i dont like it consider the price & their low fame. Most likely others will go for Lining/Victor/Yonex instead as its well known brand. Well, i could get AX88D with better price than P8 for example.
