Have you tried A09.1? It may be a little too flexible for you but another bargain from the Spieler range.
I’ve only ordered and strung it for a client. It felt pretty flexible though, so it’s clearly borderline for me. But yeah, it felt and looked at lot more expensive then it actually was.
It can blow your mind! Very interested to see what you make of it, and I hope I haven't hyped it too much. Sent from my SM-A315G using Tapatalk
So it's not "magic" enough to sort out your game when you're a moron who switched racquets AGAIN. Shuttles weren't as fast as expected last night so I went back to P8 at a modest 25lb. I have to swing the P8 very deliberately, not silly brush/cut/slice shots or I frame it. At this tension it had plenty of hold so co trolley was bang on (when hit cleably!). Tried to move the head through the oncoming shuttle path and it seemed to do alright. It definitely delivered on power and my clean shots were hitting lines. Sent from my SM-A315G using Tapatalk
Hello everyone, I have adidas Wucht P8 4U white red orange that has infomation the max tension is 30 lbs on the shaft. On the other hand, I saw some Wucht P8 4U has max tension 32 lbs on the shaft. I think those are inconsistent information from Adidas, but the products just similar. Have everyone already known about it? Why there are some batchs like that hahaha?
Mine by spec writen on it Max tension 30lbs/13.5kg Weight 84gr Grip G5 7/7 head heaviness & stiffness Made in China White color
I just checked through these pics I took of the P8 Tokyo 4u and noticed it has the 32lb max tension, I never noticed that before.
Look what the cat dragged in… a „Shuttle Detonator“! First impressions: Build quality seems good. Paint job and decal work is clearly less sophisticated than on the higher end models, with the stickers not being covered by an additional layer of clear coat for example. But better they save costs there and use decent base materials imo. The factory string on the other hand… Super thick, slippery and soft. Measured specs: What’s notable is the extra mass at the T-joint. And bending the shaft it feels like there is very little torsion in the T-joint. Seems like this is a thing that Adidas was aiming for in every racket they designed. Next up, I’ll be stringing it with GT5 @12.5 kg and most likely take it on court on Wednesday.
And surprisingly fast for a box frame. As well as powerful and user friendly. It also squirmed less than an 88d during identical stringing. I can't look at that paint job without thinking World of Warships! Sent from my SM-A315G using Tapatalk
Next up: uberschall F2.1. 7/7 balance 4/7 flex. 81g but feels more like 84g, which is my preference. Maybe a bit tall? I'm excited to see fully recessed grommets, and I think that open string pattern that felt soft before, might actually be nice once I string to the upper limits of my tension range. I thought it might be a W09.1 on steroids, or a contender for the Astrox 88S pro but in a lower price bracket. Sent from my SM-A315G using Tapatalk
Hi all, Haven't posted for many many years so be gentle on me . Currently playing with JS10, love the feel & balance of the racket but itching to try something different, maybe something that would give more omph in my smashes. Been through most of this thread and decided to give Adidas a try but which model would you knowledgeable guys recommend. I saw in a previous thread someone suggested the P8 would be most similar to JS10 but tbh I'm not keen to spend that much. Background, I'm probably high'ish intermediate, doubles attacking player, played junior county many years ago...oldie now so probably wouldn't be able to handle anything too demanding. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you..
Welcome back! For me, the Kalkul A5 is very similar to JS10, the A3 gives more power but is still a very fast frame, it reminds me of JS12. I think that is the best option to match your requirements. The P8 is a great racket but is more extreme than JS10, its more head heavy and not as fast in my opinion. The Uberschall range is another option, the newer range such as F2.1 etc have a similar feel to jetspeed but more head heavy. The older range such as F2 have less feedback/feel but still great rackets. Spieler range are an absolute bargain but may be lacking the feel you want.
Thanks Dave Will have a look at the A5. Would you say it's head heavier than JS10 as I think that would be my preference? You mentioned the A3 is similar to JS12. Funny enough, I never got on with JS12. Bought 2 thinking they would be a natural upgrade to JS10 but just didn't have the same feel. One other question, which retailers do you recommend for Adidas? I'm in the UK.
I think I remember A5 being more even balance than JS10. I have an F2.1 on loan. I wouldn't compare it to JS10 at all. Its whippy enough to provide some decent easy power, but 81g and fully recessed frame makes it pleasantly fast. Sent from my SM-A315G using Tapatalk
