    Looks like the HSBC BWF World Tour is different from the BWF World Tour

    @yamsyams is right, everything is correct here. The official BWF tournament structure laid out at the BWF homepage is:

    Grade 1: BWF World Tournaments (World Championships, Thomas/Uber Cup, Sudirman Cup), Olympics
    Grade 2 Level 1-5: HSBC BWF World Tour (former SuperSeries Finals - Grand Prix Gold)
    Grade 2 Level 6: BWF Tour Super 100 (former Grand Prix)
    Grade 3: International Challenge / Series, Future Series. Organized by a Continental Confederation.
    Junior Events

    If you read on, this is even mentioned in your original quote, just one sentence after your highlight: One other category of tournament, the BWF Tour Super 100 level, also offers BWF World Tour ranking points. Although this level is not part of the HSBC BWF WorldTour, it is an important part of the the pathway and entry point for players into the HSBC BWF World Tour Tournaments.

    So BWF Tour Super 100 is also part of BWF World Tour,

    but the others are named BWF World Tour Super 300, 500, 750 and 1000

    I hate to be pedantic but the pesky little details in the BWF wording make pedantry inevitable. The BWF wording generally refers to the 'Super 100' as being BWF Tour but not BWF World Tour. In other words, it is not only the HSBC that is missing but also the World.

    Oh wait, there is an exception to that rule, too, as the statutes quoted above refer to a BWF World Tour that included the Level 6 but by the time they found their sponsor HSBC, they started using the BWF World Tour to refer to the ones HSBC was helping to sponsor and then it seems as if this concept of the BWF [non-World] Tour was created as an afterthought. I mean, where - other than in the name BWF Tour Super 100 - is there reference to something called the BWF Tour, without the word World? I'm guessing that the tournament organizers who signed on for $75,000 events did so with the promise of ranking points counting toward qualification for the finals but for some reason, they couldn't agree on a deal with HSBC for 37 events and hence the afterthought.

    I think the technical term for this is mess.
