I over heard the news today that a new private badminton club will be opened soon. This new place will occupy up to about 10,000 sq ft, i.e. about 12-15 courts which is much bigger than that of Mandarin or Lee. Anybody knows any details of where & when?
    Thanks!

It was advertised in the saturday magazine of Ming Pao. 20,000 sq. ft with VIP membership too. Sounds prestige! ;) Can't wait to find out more! It says the location is in Richmond Hill and they are opening soon!:D :D

I just saw the ad, but didn't see where it mentioned 12-15 courts. But 20,000sq. ft does sounds very promising. For sure I would like to pay for a visit when they are open. ;)

That sounds fantastic! Most of my toronto relatives live in richmond hill, that way maybe I could get in some exhibition games when I go to visit!

if anyone knows when it'll be done by, I'm very interested.

    This number sounds more reasonable..

...i can imagine how big 10,000 sq. ft. is, so 20,000 sq. ft. sounds more reasonable to accommodate those 12-15 courts..although it's not that big either..
For comparison purpose, for those familiar with or have been to SGVBC, the facility has, now, 12-13 courts. And i think with that addition, the size of SGVBC is between 20,000-30,000+ sq. ft.

I was told that the place will be in the Leslie/Highway 16 area. Word is that the olympic 2000 silver LD medalist Huang Nanyan (old partner of Yang Wei) will be there. Yes, this is the same ex-Lee's coach who was here 3 years ago...unsure who else is on staff at this moment...should know more in a few days.

The other head coach mentioned in the ad is Chen Gang. He won World Junior Championships and the 8th China Nationals, as well as spending some time in Denmark. He came to Lee's once for an exhibition game i think... anyone see that?

The coach line up isn't really my main concern actully, but the #/type of courts and the actual pricing scheme would awesome if anyone knows

    Hello E=mc2
Are Huang Nan Yan & Chen Gang the owners of this new club or somebody else?
Is it true that the new new club will be located around 16th & Leslie with 9 courts?
Are there any other coaches from China or any other places other than those couple mentioned above coaching in this new club?
    Thanks!
