I enjoy using 100zz, but have been thinking of getting another head heavy, stiff racket. What would you advise between 88d and 88d pro? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have had 100zz, 88d 2018, 88d 2020, both 4U5G version. Let me drop my 2 cents: Speed: 100zz > 88d 2020 > 88d 2018 Smash: 88d 2018 > 88d 2020 ~ 100zz Clear: 88d 2018 > 100zz ~ 88d 2020 Drop: 88d 2018 ~ 88d 2020 > 100zz If you are a hard-smasher, go for the 88d 2018. The 88d 2020 is not worth buying for me.
I use 88d 2018 version and 100zz 4u, The clears and drops of 100zz is really good!! The only area where I feel 100zz lags is on the power of smashes!! Continuous smashes 100zz wins, one devastating smash 88d wins. It’s too fast so some have the power is missing..may be 3u version of 100zz would give a better power along with speed for 88d users I think!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
100zz is too fast?? coming from N80 II I find 100zz slow, this is from my limited tries, may be since you are coming from 88D you found it faster. How do you compare N7 II and 100zz in terms of speed, I bet N7 II will be way faster, may be lacks in control though.
Yeah when u compare with 88d it’s faster. With n7ii I would still say 100zz is faster cos the shaft of 100zz is hyper thin so mentally I see 100zz is faster and people say 100zz is stiffer honestly I feel I am bending it way too much in smash.. it feels like mid stiff so comparing with n7ii which is extra stiff the speed is little compromised is what I feel. Infact I feel 88d is not that stiffer than n7ii may be i am stupid Stiff: N7ii > 88d > 100zz Speed: 100zz > n7ii > 88d Smash: 88d > 100zz > n7ii Quick exchange: 100zz > n7ii > 88d Front court: n7ii > 100zz > 88d Backcourt: 88d > 100zz > n7ii With all said above I like 88d may be i am stupid again.. I am using 4uG5. Compared to Apacs Finapi88 (Voltric like), it is much quicker and better for defence and flat play in doubles, but less powerful for smashing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hyper Slim Shafts are a kind of gimmicky. If you ever pay attention to the frame thickness of 100zz it is actually quite thick compared to others. Thick frame affects swing speed more than thicker shaft because it have to cut through a lot more air. Nanoflare 800 on the other hand have thin shaft and frame which makes it actually pretty fast.
If you play more on singles and like all out attack, then 88d might be more suitable to you over the dpro. The 88 pro series is more adjusted to doubles players since the 88dpro is much better in defense and also drive games compared to 88d. ( I only play with 3u rackets and 2u rackets depending on the model, 4u in my opinion is too light in general and lacks a bit of power.) With the exception of 100zz where i own both 3 and 4u versions. the 100zz solid shaft will take some time to get used to but all in all are great rackets. Try to find a friend that owns the specs you play with for those rackets and have a feel. In the end it is you that matters the most on what you feel when using the racket.
