Congratulations to Chen Hong for his victory over Kenneth Jonassen. There have been many critics circulating doubs over Chen's selection over current world champion and national favourite Xia Xuan Ze but that is done now... it's in the past.
All Xia and Chinese fans should rally behind Chen and wish him the best of luck for the later stages.

Also unlucky to Jonassen, who again has displayed some breath-taking defensive play and can hold his head up high having put in his typical 100% Danish grit.

AHAHA oh man these commentators kill me! Since KJ dives alot, they earlier discussed this and one of them says maybe KJ has something wrong with his shoes. At 9-14 on KJ's serve, CH hits a cross-court half smash that KJ sprawls on the ground in vain for, and the commentator goes "I don't think you guys are taking my shoe theory seriously." I actually like these guys because they unintentionally make things comical. I think its the monotone voices.

    Oh yeah, CH just won.

I've never seen CH played so motivated like that, shouting whenever he wins a point

KJ has the style that forces the opponent to play very tight matches. unfortunately, KJ doesn't convert most of the time and often loses after long hard fought battles. his face at the TC medal ceremony just tells the whole story of how hard he always fight and how he misses them.

but yet, the Great Wall of Denmark fight on defending like he defends his country as a royal guard. he will be back.
