I waited all day to watch Choi/Kim vs Astrup/Rasmussen and then they move it to ct2 after the ct2 stream has ended
Nishimoto doing this and having good success, High serve, anticipate smash, defend to a corner, get high lift, then drop or smash to the other corner,
LSF has good smashes. So I don't how Momota will react. Momota's shot quality seems to be better now and it is helping a lot in his game. His stamina also seems to be better. Nishimoto was very aggressive from the get go and this seemed to put Momota in a difficult position. But he managed to turn the situation around. It is a better Momota though.
Yes...Have been watching these players match against some of Indian players.. Earlier India's players were closer to them... But Taiwanese players have improved quickly.. CHI Yu Jen too.. progressed to Thai IC Final today , but ndia's ranking tournament winner(Rithvik) & runner(Sathish) lost in early rounds..
Kim and jeong are slowly becoming relevant. They’re not a bad xd pair. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Akane as impressive as ever, every time she decides to inject pace and run all over the court, she almost wins points at will on the trot. Just look at Akane's amazing retrieving ability, incredible.
Momota's attack is just pathetic and control is not there at all, getting humiliated against Li Shi Feng
Can't believe what I'm seeing, Li Shifeng outmanoeuvring and outrallying Kento Momota, and then unleashing his devastating smash at the right moment. The new LSF as I've never seen him before, the coming of age of LSF. Well, the final tomorrow against Angus Ng K L, another tough veteran, also 28 years of age as Momota, awaits Li Shifeng. Will it be a fairytale ending for the young gun ? We'll see.
Cannot do anything in the match that Li Shi Feng do all things so well. Maybe, the match yesterday made Momota become slower today
Or maybe, something more internal. Sometimes we just don't know. It could be something within the badminton association in Japan that Momota is not happy about. It could be he lost his heart to play. It could be just he is no longer good which I don't think so. It could be he is not interested to get himself too tired. It could be he was too lazy to prepare himself for this game. It could be a late night out. Hard to jump to conclusions with a proven player like this player. Maybe he will reveal in interview. Maybe, he won't reveal the true reason in interview. We can only let him decide what is best for himself. Sent from my iPlay20S using Tapatalk
As for WS, I'd say , at the moment, it's Akane Y, followed by An SY a close second, then comes the rest. But, by end or early next year, I believe it'll be An SY in front of Akane Y, followed by the rest. Just speculating. I have a feeling An Se Young's rise to the top seems almost inevitable these two years, barring unforeseen circumstances. Just conjecturing.
yup... and age is on her side. the rest of the top 6 are all 'veterans' so to speak. paris is just under 18 months away which makes asy the fave in my book. she has yet to peak, whereas the rest are past their respective peaks. except yamaguchi, who i believe is at her peak right now. the 'legends class' era of tty, carolina, pvs, okuhara, ratchanok, yamaguchi & cyf is fading.
CYF is quite young i believe. In fact she has a hypothetical chance of winning three OG in a row (one already bagged in). Too early to write her off just as of yet. But i agree, ASY would be the one to be beaten and she will keep on improving over next 5 years at least.
