Internet connection was down bro inside the arena. Sorry, couldn’t respond to you.

I got really shy like a teenage girl waiting for her crush when lakshya won and smiled at the Crowd. Lol, it felt he passed a smile to me. I was very excited to see him live. Btw Christie looks bulkier live. CTC also was looking like a proper specimen. Watching live is a really different experience.

Those were 3-4 Indonesian females. I was sitting 10m away from them. Christie acknowledged the crowd and was continuously showing us thumbs up lol. I thought Christie must be thinking “man, they can’t get enough of me”.

Aww...You seem to be a really big fan of his...Guess what If he plays Syed Modi this year and you are close to Lucknow and could visit the Stadium then I will make you meet him;)..not just him his whole family who always accompany him at Indian Tournaments....Oh and you could sit with me where all the players are seated and perhaps I could take your photos with other players :)

Thanks for supporting him...He truly loves his fans and enjoys the limelight and works really hard to make his admirers happy.

Umm, Axelsen is pretty popular. Momota and Ginting too.
WS is more broadly followed though imo because of SN and PVS over the years. I wouldn't be surprised if Carolina's following would be bigger than all the boys combined.

Really really overjoyed for her, she needed it. Not saying it'll bring a second wind to her career, but should give her much needed boost to keep going

    Saina:

“Just happy that I won something!” said Nehwal. “It’s been long that I was searching for some win. The confidence was down. I’m happy I played without any knee issues. The last two-three months was gradual (progress). Today, I could see that I worked on my stamina, I worked on my overall hitting game as well. And everything was going quite well.

“I was getting tough first round opponents. But I have to win something to get to the better rounds. At the moment, I think I can be very good with all the players. She’s been playing extremely well with the top players. So I think with the coverage, with the shots, with the speed today, I think I can match the top players.”

“It’s a dream to play in front of home crowd always. They’re so happy to see me always and they give me that kind of courage to fight back. It helped me get over the edge but finally I have to fight on the court. The mind sometimes stops working, after losing so many matches, it’s like you’re losing, you’re losing, you’re losing, but then I was like, it’s okay, you have to play 21 more points. And that’s how I pulled out at one last point.”

Marin got the best ovation here today after Lakshya and Satwik Chirag. Marin is the most popular foreign player imo here regardless of gender.

Even if he’s not alright physically, he won’t admit it.
