LKY not as steady today, more error-prone

LZJ defeat LKY 21-18, 21-15 in a convincing manner. I thought it would go to three-setter like in INA Master.

Lee Zii Jia, triumphant return to form. It's LKY who looked like a nervous wreck throughout the game.

Good luck for the final tomorrow.

LZJ managed to hold things together in the second set not giving away too many easy points

LKY is at best when only he can let himself go and play freely, it seems

For a top player in the world, LKY is still pretty inconsistent at times. I understand that LKY can have a consistent match here and there, but he doesn't seem to be able to string together multiple consistent matches (and consistent sets) in a row.

It's amazing that LKY was so consistent when he won the WC last year. He was consistent every match when he won the WC. But you see him play today against LZJ, and LKY is making so many unforced errors.

Also, LKY needs to work on his backcourt line judgement. He keeps thinking the shuttle will land out, and at the last second, he realizes the shuttle will land in, and he hits the shuttle almost before the ground. That's just poor judgement, at this level, he needs to correctly judge if the shuttle is landing in or out at the backcourt. LD and LCW knew if the shuttle was landing in or out at the backcourt, they had this skill perfected. It's something LKY needs to do better, if he wants to be the World Champion again.

A venerable racquet for such an aggressive-minded player.

It's the similar case scenario for LCW, isn't it? Whenever he plays with nothing to lose, he'll always come out on top against LD & CL.

LCW had his bad moments at judging the backline.

I thought so as well, looking at the Ryuga 2 reviews and how it doesn't suit attacking players.
Momota fans on the way to force him to change racket as well.

I will be the first one who wait for Momota change his racket.

And laugh to anyone's face who say pro players can play all the rackets.

Just look at Lee Zii Jia with Ryuga I and II
