The MS bottom half matches will be played tomorrow. Today, they go sightseeing, Mount Fuji. Tomorrow, will be rest day for the upper half. Not sure if it will be the same itinerary.
Heard Steen saying Sun Jun was there at the first game 11 point break. That’s a massive bonus for Shi YQ.
kinda weird seeing the score of the DEN pair vs what is that flag Sri lanka?.....barely win ? holy smokes......bwf better have the recording of these 'weird' matches when i search for them this saturday
Seems Shi YQ is back to his pre injury form gradually with lighter footwork how he combines attacking shot that preceded by constructed rally which contains various strokes including several deceptive drops that troubled Gemke frequently. One of most anticipated last sixteen clash to wait, Shi will take on old rival Anthony Ginting whether the Indonesia could break the jinx and scored first ever victory this time. Momota real test should begin tomorrow, Prannoy is no pushover particularly for the Japanese struggling version. Another intriguing second round duel will pit Naraoka against his junior peer Vitidsarn.
Obvious case of match fixing. In fact I actually expected this score when I saw the betting odds. They were taking bets for Sri Lanka with a handicap of just +4 in the match. So you kinda know what to expect. But of course Denmark are just mediocre pairs and standard are the same as Sri Lanka right?
Well I searched up one of the male Sri Lankan player and he actually has quite a lot of achievements with a bronze at Youth Olympics and a World Tour title. Good players can come from anywhere...like Marin. Sent from my SM-A307GN using Tapatalk
A nightmare draw for Momota if you ask me against 2 Indians who have just won Tc and also commonwealth. when it rains and it pours for Momota and to think that it could have been Axelsen who played Sen in round of 16. Being the 9th seed but 3rd favourite, either way it could have been a final too early.
LGZ (and other MS perhaps) didn't have this privilege. Yesterday match of LGZ, there's only Qiao Bin, that's why I was surprised to see Sun Jun there.
Ong/Teo (last year bronze medalists) lost to the neighbor country pair SIngapore, Terry/Loh in straight games... seems like SG right now has strong MS, MD, WS and XD, and soon they will be as strong team for next year Sudirman Cup...
Ong and Teo lost to Terry Hee and LKH in straight sets...22-20 and 22-20.. LKY playing Kevin Cordon...what an exciting match
