Obviously Sir Taufik Hidayat cause hes an OLYMPIC CHAMPION however I must say Mr Lee Chong Wei is a very unique and perhaps the only exception in my legends club even though as a policy I dont let players in Legends club UNTILL they have at least a Major tittle but Mr LCW's 3 Consecutive Olympic Silvers + 4 WC Medals I mean the consistency of it all is beyond me..However I do put Sir Chen Long above Mr Chong wei for he has multiple WC tittles plus Oly Gold and the same amount of Oly medals as Mr LCW and would put Sir Lin Dan at the highest cause he has 2 Oly Golds + 5 WC Golds that no one has so he is the UNDISPUTED GOAT..Just to give you an idea of my list. So In perspective if we take these 3 Greats my list would be in these clubs -: 1.Sir Lin Dan UNDISPUTED GOAT CLUB 1.Sir Chen Long GOAT CLUB 2.Sir Taufik Hidayat GOAT CLUB 3.Mr Lee Chong Wei LEGEND CLUB (EXCEPTION)
I wouldnt mind if i put monies on ShettyRR but i dont think its fair. AaronChia is making a lot errors on Shetty serve.
Shetty took a year to serve there. I was also moving my eyes left right in accordance with the racket. Oh My. And then only to see him getting faulted.
MAS is proactive. If IND can escape in this match… then thats dish well served and cooked for AhsanHendra.
Maybe india should just hire korean coach, if there's one thing ranki/shetty need to improve is defense.
Nopes Sir Lee Yong Dae has a GOLD in Oly though in XD but he has it alobg with S in MD and Multiple WC Medals so Sir Lee Yong Dae is in my GOAT Club. Mr LeeWang still need multiple WCs to match sir LYD and even if they win another Gold at oly they would still need multilple WC Tittles to match other GOATS like Sir FHF/CY,Sir Hendra,Sir Zhang Nan etc so they are far from GOAT club yes they are in the Legends club for sure with a Major tittle and a WC Medal.
I’m sorry I don’t think any coach can make pair defence strong. It’s the pair’s patience, ability to sustain pressure and placement of defended shots which depends on one’s skill is totally either there or not there. One thing a coach can really do here is put them on consecutive high pressure shots where they have to defend them. Which I think most coaches do in doubles training as it’s a basic drill
Ranki/shetty need to variate their attack more, they're too predictable at the moment...play some slice, dropshot, anything...right now they just firing wild smashes, easy for aaron/soh to defend.
This is a slow match because IND pair wants to play it this way. They look tired but they escaped with G1 on Aaron error.
I wonder if Shetty changes his serve to a still serve, rather than twisting right and left before he serves, would help his service game. When you twist right and left and then you serve, your service is bound to be less consistent/stable than if you start off still. I guess Shetty is used to this, and maybe he is probing for a weakness from the opponent's service stance, but the tradeoff is that your serve is less consistent/stable. No other MD player really twists left and right before they serve like Shetty, not even Satwik.
