Oh Nooo so close yet so far...mostly due to silly errors but its ok Shi come back stronger.

Im not angry but actually very happy with the way Shi came back and played his game has become more agressive and tactical and I like his behaviour on court too unlike his pre break dull self now he is more active and agressive and Im sure he will grow stronger from here:)

I have to give credit to the Oly Bronze Medalist ASG he did play well and I wish him best for his future matches !

    Come back stronger Shi !!

Well !! In 1947 that one nation handed over power to a bunch of spineless politicians who are obedient to them and they said "well, why not, let us celebrate once every 4 year all goodies of the last 4 centuries "

Ginting now, is the only one who can stop Viktor in the top of the draw.

Next week he will enter Japan Open. First opponent is HKV and if he's through, most probably to meet VA.

EXACTLY !! This is why this loss isnt hard for me to swallow it was a close game and most importantly we see a much agile and agressive Shi which Im personally loving

I know he made a lot of errors but as you sais after a long break I can overlook that based on his entire performance which was a very good one however in Japan Open I hope he doesnt repeat those errors.

Overall as a SYQ Fan Im pleased with his perfoemance :)

The MS semis will probably be VA vs CTC and Prannoy vs LKY/Vitidsarn. Prannoy is playing pretty well this year
if this proves to be true, then Prannoy will be a challenge

It's a shame that two remaining Indian MS had to meet at this stage.

So many long, grueling, close matches today drained my energy. I need to rest. Thanks to all the athletes today for the badminton bonanza.:)

Just checked. He’s playing HKV and if he gets through that, VA. If China let him back into the team, they’ve got a very well balanced singles team.

I hope Prannoy win more. People talked much about Momota yesterday.

And now many pro players "go along" with Momota. ^-^

    yes
Prannoy and sen both were medal contenders judging by current form , so it was unfortunate that they had to meet in the r16
