CTC is playing Momota's game, that is not going to work.

suddenly Momota plays well in the second game, faster and confident.

They did indeed change the mats overnight. Of course they had to wait until matches had finished so they couldn't start until 03:30 (lol).
The exchanged the brand new (and therefore slippery) mats with the ones they had in the warm up area, which are older and used and therefore not as slippery.. hopefully.

Is momota a lot better today or is CTC just not as good as LZJ? What a huge contrast

He has to figure that out or he won’t be able to deal with LZJ, LKY or Axelsen

Momota was afraid of fast and smashing-game.

In 2018-2019 Ginting with his smashing-game can challenge peak Momota.

And Lee ZJ with big body, long arm and leg than Ginting, that's why

I’d say a bit of both. Momota is clearly much more comfortable with CTC’s style and pace. Fantastic win for him psychologically.

TPE has to win this match and the next 2 to stand any chance but it's not easy to beat Koga/Watanabe.

I just realised that Momota didn't have enough 24 hours to rest.

Haha, coach don't dare to send Darren Liew.

I don't know Darren still have a spot in the team or not

I don't like Hoki but do love Kobayashi. Don't know how to support this pair every time they play ...

Pretty suspicious. There were Hawkeye before, but today there is none.
