I'm afraid you read LD wrongly. He wants the precious third Olympic MS title "greedily" and to make it a record difficult for others to break. The way he handled CTC and JOJ recently shows that LD is preparing himself well to counter the different strategies and game plans of his younger opponents. More can be expected of LD en route Rio Olympics.

What I meant was like he was in semi-hibernation mode the last 2-3 years and if he had been more "title greedy" and motivated like LCW, he could have swept many of these titles the past 2 years and put the question of GOAT to rest - even before Rio Olympics. In other words, he could have been "greedier" than we think but apparently he chose not to for some reason - less people would accuse him of been the "greediest" player of all time?
