    This I doubt very much.
After watching at least a hundred SN games commentated by GC, I am quite sure that she does not have any special liking for Saina. GC may be neutral about Saina at best.

Personally I think Saina isn't among GC's 5 favourite WS players.

All the hype about Sai Praneeth turns out to be just that, hype.

A wasted spot indeed for LCW to progress instead I reckon.

It's an important match for Saina indeed! She has not won against TTY since the Swiss Open in 2013, and lost their 4 last encounters. Every WS match is gonna be important in fact: Marin v Ratchanok is a very important match for Marin given she is 0-4 against her and came very close to winning last time (lost 20-22 in the 3rd set). Okuhara v. Yihan is an important match for Wang Yihan is she wants to be selected for the Olympics and WSX v LXR is important for the same reason. Great QF in perspective !!! :)

Of course WS is going from an extremely "strong era" it seems! All of them can beat any of them at a given day!
As far as I am concerned I would love to have RI vs NO and SN vs LXR in SFs!
    What do u say?

The way I see it - she praises her mental strength to point out that her "other departments" are weak.

I remember her saying how Vimal Kumar's coaching is doing miracles and all and then she said look at this girls SN, WSX etc they don't give up! They have so mentally strong!
That day SN struggled against some lower ranked player in g1 and trailed almost throughout g1 but still took it, Sayaka Takahashi if I am not mistaken! Plus whenever she says about the tourney favs she always accompany SN with CM or others

Well SN's technical skills are certainly weaker than LXR/RI/WSX/TTY, her gameplay is more similar to the likes of CM/SJY/NO.

Different players have different strenghts, SN is super strong mentally and physically, as well as very fast on court. What she lacks in pure technical skills or smoothness of movement (balletic movement) she compensates in other areas. And it's been working for her pretty well so far given how much time she has been in the top 5

Yeah she said she is a learned player, not so natural as RI bit then she can play any shot from any where, her words not mine!
But that's reality we know she isn't smooth on the court

Damn.. Such a disappointment.. Really wanted Sai to win. Coming from behind, HKV did to Sai, what Sai did to LCW yesterday...what a heartbreak. KS played as expected. So no complaints. Sameer and Sai made us feel proud.

I m not a big fan of Saina anymore. But I like her for so many times she is the lone one representing the country in the quarters and semis of a major tournament.

What the hell is Chen Long doing on Court 3? Afraid to face Axelsen in QF?? I can't believe the scoreline... Maybe he is just rusty
