A pleasant surprise for me, Chen Qingchen/Bao Yixin won the title beating the highly fancied INA pair.
In G1,I thought the CHN pair's unfamiliarity with each other would be a drag on them, as the INA were exploiting it by going for channel attack and playing to the middle of both the CHN players when they were standing side by side to make them hesitate who to go for the shot and sometimes leaving to each other or clashing together. But in G2, the CHN pair were more alert to it, I guess unfamiliarity cuts both ways, they are also unfamiliar to the INA pair. I must say CQC is the outstanding one, the key to CHN's victory, also thanks to a bit of luck.
True having a hard smashing partner helps, an advantage in doubles, so CQC could used a hard-hitting smashing partner as BYX is basically a front court player playing XD mostly. Some prospective hardhitting partners for CQC might be Tang Yuanting, Tang Jinhua, Jia Yifan, Li Yinhui,and Du Yue, I think. Bao Yixin would also need one too.
