Mocking ? Absolutely not, I've the highest regard for the JPN Team. Maybe you do, expecting JPN to lose 5-0.

Fu Haifeng is an all-rounder now, at the back he can be a sledgehammer. at the front he is adept in soft touches, net play and quick intercepts, complementing Zhang Nan very well, a formidable combo.

Fu/Zhang play in perfect environment. Protected by two best MS,they can afford to play more freely and take more risks. And when Fu is in form, this pair can beat any pair in this world.

Just had check and found lots of information about Kenichi Hayakawa and Hiroyuki Endo. Bot hare old veteran players. This year both are 30 and 29 years old. Wow old already. Guess this Olympics 2016 will be their last Olympic.

At the current state, I dread the possibility of Malaysia meeting either Japan or even China in the QFs, as our 1st doubles pair is not even in the same league as Fu/Zhang or Endo/Hay.

Endo/Hayakawa are very tough nuts to crack, a formidable opponent to Zhang/Fu!

The outcome was obvious. But drama was fun. Actually, this is usually the pattern in their matches. Funan winning the first set,Japanese winning the second on deuce only for the Chinese pair to wrap up the match.
