HYX should improve his net play, he's giving PK too many attacking opportunities by lifting too much.
I do remember Xue song, who played here and won this GPG title once. But later , he is out of the scene . Now, this player Huang yuxiang (23 years already) doing good in the tournament so far.
A battle of wits, it's only in the latter half of G3 that HYX learned to be smarter and not let PK outwit him too often. With one of the semifinals an all-CHN affair, CHN is guaranteed a finalist.
Srikanth Kidambi should have finished the match in 2. He went into self destruction mode . Leading all the way 18-11, he lost the game 2 and let his opponent to come back. He need to focus more on mental issues soon or he need to forget his olympic dreams.
Huang Yuxiang is also improving albeit gradually, not as much as Goh Soon Huat, in my humble opinion.

In the MS, Shi Yuqi only managed to outplay Huang Yuxiang towards the end of G1 to close out the opening set, 21-17, in an otherwise tight battle.
Just when I thought Huang YX is fighting back in G2 with a good start, Shi YQ quickly closes the gap and even moves ahead now, 8-5...
Congratulations to Sung Ji Hyun for winning the match and thus advancing to play in the finals tomorrow. She certainly played better than last week.
My gut feeling is Sung Ji Hyun will be up against Sayaka Sato tomorrow, a tough proposition for her as the latter is able to get a lot back. SJH has to be on top of her game and fit as well or risk being ground down by her opponent's stubborn defence and counterattack. Should be a treat to watch.
Nichaon surely has some delightful strokes and the angle she makes on the FH-ftont corner is a sheer treat to watch!! But she makes an aweful amount of Unforced errors and most of the time she takes few pts lightly and all of sudden her opponent is running away with the game! The same happened with her against PV but she was lucky enough to get out of the trouble but alas today she was tired and gave up so easily in g2
