Oh I know what you mean LOL. HW looks bigger than ZN,LOL.

ZYL/TQ have been fighting each other over ZN for more than a year. In the end ZYL refuses to continue to play with TQ anymore, thus causes the nonselection.

ZYL also stopped talking to ZN in the past three months according to some insiders, as a matter of fact they may already divorced. They just keep a lid on everything to prepare for Olympics. But how can you have a good game with so many personal drama going on? Again I blame the coaches as I blame Korea dismal performance on Korea coaches.

Wow, that's totally new to me that there have been rumours for that long about the triangles love drama. I haven't watched the XD matches yet, but I'm curious how they played together and how they celebrated their Bronze, if there was a celebrating. I guess rather not...

But that's the risk of being in love with a team mate. And you really can't say professionals should be able to differ between private life and business. When it's about love, nobody can do that. Nobody. So they can't blamed for their feelings.
It's just sad and a pity that it affected their performance that much, but that's all. To forbid relationships within the national team would be also not an option. So just wish them the best and let's hope they achieve their best form pretty soon again.

Oh, by the way. I didn't even know that ZYL and ZN were married :O

What about Ma Jin, by the way? Just wondering and taking the chance to ask this question, since there seem to be some active chinese social media users ;) :D

The deodorant one is new to me :D :D
Nice one, had a good laugh ;)

Completly agree with you, Marin's performance is / was amazing! Esp. the way she plays. So intense! It s almost never that she kinda gets the tournament, rather she is making the game, being proactive, winning it on herself.

I like how the gold medals are all spread out and evenly distributed. Everyone's getting the slice of the cake. Indonesia, Japan, Spain and China. Could LCW deny CL, and create history to get Malaysia her maiden gold medal in Oly?

With a neck to neck H2H of 12:13 on LCW's favor and both has equally beaten their opponents 4 times in a row(twice each!), I'm going for a 50:50. CL seems like he's in a peak condition.

Also based on the fact in WS, 2014 and 2015 WC winner grabbed 2016 OG, this might happen in MS (coincidentally CL defeated LCW in both occasions).

LCW will have a morale boost by already beating his long time arch rival and BFF, LD in the semifinal, but he was worked up in a grueling 80 minutes match and the Chinese side (XXZ and LYB) would have already studied him. CL also has the younger age factor.

This again will be an interesting Clash of Titans tonight. ;)

I believe ZN and ZYL's choices are responsible for the mess in CHN team. ZYL decided months ago to only play XD, thus putting CHN WD and specially Tian Qing, in turmoil, but ZN did not follow her cue and choose to do double duties - thus upsetting ZYL and their best chance for XD gold.
I don't know how the broken toy can be repair.

I don't agree, I think the problem is ZN and ZYL carry the burden of gold in too many disciplines: XD, WD, MD and can't concentrate. That is the probelm taht China should look into, they just can't count on 1-2 players for so many disciplines.

a pairt where one player is doing double duty is bound to suffer, even more if both do double duty. I think ZN and ZYL should concentrate on one discipline, but I think CBA is afraid to lose potential winners.

    I
It was either they all do double duties with a smile, or all do single duty with a smile.
They chose half-way, with a grin.

Beside, the timing is important. Tian Qing is an excellent WD player, she could have played with another girl for the last 2 years and have a go at the olympics.
For ZN, things are different because the choice is so poor nowadays among CHN MD. If Fu wanted to go on, ZN was the best option.

watched the MD final, this is the most epic match ever, both pairs are risking themselves to win a gold medal, in the end it is China pair Fu Haifeng/Zhang Nan nailed the gold as MAS pair making unforced errors on services and front court kill...

btw, congratulations and thank both of these pairs for bring up the most epic MD gold medal match ever...

Like I've mentioned time and time again, the rise of players like Tai Tzu Ying, Ratchanok, Sindhu, Saina and especially Carolina Marin couldn't have come at a better time. They bring more variety, parity and colour to the "boring" sport of badminton. Some might dislike them for their antics, but you can't deny the contribution that they have for the sport especially in terms of growth all around the world.
