Mastumoto/Takahashi should have no problem facing the CHN pair... long rally should be more beneficial to the fitter JPN pair.

So now INA camp can only rely on their WD (+1 MD) to make up their losses early this day. Well, that's unusual...

    On paper, Yes.
However, Chen/Jia have been growing up tremendously recently, beating out much more established pair like Juhl/Pedersen, also Chang/Lee and Fukuman/Yonao. So I wouldn't be so sure Matsutomo/Takahashi will have easy win.

Yes, and Tommy too. But I mean to make up the other 6 losses.

Why Zheng Siwei is not here? Is there a rule that state each country can only have max 4 players/pairs in each events?

We just witnessed long rally and the CHN pair in the end hit the shuttle out.

I think Bae Yeon Ju will retire soon. Maybe right after the Olympics. She simply cannot keep up with the new generation.

    Nozomi slaughtering her now

So proud of Matsumoto/ Takahashi ! They had made such tremendous progress since last year, changed their style completely. They have a real chance at olympic gold now :3

They're current best WD now and definitely a major stumbling block for Chinese pairs in Rio 2016.
