Too far from to being able to be called competitive. Meanwhile in the China camp, CL to LD "Thanks brother Dan for letting me probe and practice with LCW before Rio". And they high fived.
I gonna scoured the local garage sale for a new crystal ball, I had the old one too long lah, it is getting tired after correctly, I mean perfectly, predicting time and time Super Dan kicking Dato butt, LOL...as for LD losing badly in the 3rd set, here is why: 1. of course he is generous as always...hahaha 2. he suddenly realized that should he win, he next play Dragon Long and he does not want to show too much to that chap 3. this BAC thingie total prize is miserable $200K so the fans already got their money worth to see SuperDan sweat 4 rounds 4. the most important reason is he heard Malaysian govt is facing tough times with 1MDB and Dato has problem finding sponsor lah, so Super Dan becomes Super Generous LOL
And you conveniently ignore the fact that Lin Dan said he's tired playing 5 tournaments in 5 weeks and that he'd have skipped this BAC if it's not held in China so as to better prepare for the Thomas Cup, and that he's playing on more for his fans. Btw, how do you know none of the excuses or speculations is valid ? I'm confident that a fresher Lin Dan would've have taken the match in two straight sets or won in three.
omg again already 70min not even finished game 2 in the WD. Fu/Zhang lost... REally? Damn wnated to see a revenge between Lee/Yoo and Fu/Zhang :/
The two young lads not giving their illustrious seniors any respect, knowing ZN/FHF wanted so much to win the last OG qualifying event and prove themselves to the MD coaches and Li Yongbo of their Olympic prospects.
Frankly, I somehow think it's still too early to jump into any definite conclusions of the Super Trio's chances at Rio. I'd prefer to reserve most of my comments till Rio, by then there's nothing more to hide, it's all cards on the table and all systems go. Who will have the last laugh shall await, though upsets can happen or someone or other suddenly play above themselves.
You also conveniently ignore the fact that the better player won today and LD let the 1st game slip away from him. Sent from my SM-N910G using Tapatalk
"slip away", everything was acted compare how LD played CL in CM Final, he was maybe giving like 5% in game 3
Don't you find G3 rather odd, weird, abnormal from Lin Dan ? My understanding is he doesn't mind losing to anybody except his archrivals, LCW and CL. The way he played and lost the 3rd set, he could've been beaten by just about anybody, to a 50th ranked or even a 200th ranked player. Furthermore, he already knew Chen Long is awaiting in the final. He just beat CL last Sunday, not an easy feat at all, why would he want to undo all his gains, psychological, etc, to the same player who is a serious challenger to his Olympic campaign for the ultimate prize ? And how did LCW celebrate the victory, was he jumping for joy, fell to the ground elated, overwhelmed ? Too many dubious points, unanswered questions and doubts, hence giving rise to speculations. I won't be surprised even Lin Dan 's coaches may not really know what he's up to.
What you said is after the fact. What Lin Dan said was a day before he played the semifinal, that is , his fatigue, his skipping the BAC if it's not held in China, his playing on for the sake of his fans. That's the difference. And what if Lin Dan didn't let slip G1 when holding 3 gamepoints and went on to win G2 and the match, which he very well could have done ?
I mean if somebody said Lin Dan couldn't win tough three-setters anymore before the start of the match, and not after, then I may hand it to him. Talking with the benefit of hindsight is easy to do.
Btw, didn't Lin Dan beat JOJ, Sho Sasaki,Chou Tien Chen, and several others (eg, Xue Song, Lu Guangzu) in three-setters recently or not long ago ?
Yeayy... Very lot excuses and self defending BTW, I want to see the longest match ever broken. Now they have played 117".
What if LD does not win Olympic gold? What if he loses prior to the quarter final and does not achieve his last big goal? No more excuses like "he doesn't care" or "this is part of his big plan"...
Enough arguing now...let's just look forward to a promising LCW vs. CL final tomorrow, after we had a great LD vs. CL matchup last week
