tanongsak vs Derek 's match is going on.

One of the chat in the live streaming said ,"Come on Derek, Beat the peacock".

Really a different kind of hairstyle Tanongsak has.

Well, INA hope is ended in MS discipline as Jonatan Christie lost once again to Chong Wei Feng in close rubber games, 22-20 / 19-21 / 18-21. Two veterans Nguyen TM and Ponsana failed to go further and grab any medal here, lost to home hopeful Loh Kean Yew and MAS Abdul Latif respectively.

WS semifinal clash will pit strong fave Busanan v Vu Thi Trang and Hanna Ramadini v Goh Jin Wei. The 15 y.o. Goh KW stunned more experienced Thai player, Nichaon Jindapon at last eight.

Latest updates from my friends who managed to watch the matches live at the stadium.

Indonesia continue their great run in badminton when 7 of their players checked into the semifinals. Indonesia have already won 1 gold and 1 bronze medals through their team events. Indonesia will now have a chance to add 7 more medals to their lists. Congratulations.

Malaysia also continue their great run in badminton when 6 of their players checked into the semifinals. Malaysia have already won 1 silver and 1 bronze medals through their team events. Malaysia will now have a chance to add 6 more medals to their lists. Congratulations.

Thailand also continue their great run in badminton when 3 of their players checked into the semifinals. Thailand have already won 1 gold and 1 silver medals through their team events. Thailand will now have a chance to add 4 more medals to their lists. Congratulations.

Philippines created history when their men doubles pair checked into the semifinals and one medal is confirmed. Congratulations. This is the first time a Philippines men doubles enter the semifinals. Not forgetting their brilliant performance for winning against the highly ranked Singapore men doubles yesterday.

Vietnam created history when their women single checked into the semifinals and one medal is confirmed. Congratulations. Not to forget her brilliant performance by toppling the highly ranked Indonesia women single today. They also created history by entering the semi finals for the first time. Once again congratulations.

Singapore the host country also had the chance to win a medal tomorrow. It is really lucky as the player won against a lowly ranked player named tep chanmara from Cambodia. This Singapore player who is imported from Malaysia is so lucky. Thus he is secured a place in the semi finals tomorrow. However he also helped to save the face of Singapore who are not able to perform well in sea games this round. Congratulations loh kean yew. I will never forget your results as you are the player that helped Singapore to qualify to play in the semi finals. Congratulations once again.

Singapore men doubles aloe checked into the semi finals fornthe first time all thanks to their imported players from Thailand and Indonesia. Chayut triyachart and Danny bawa chrisnanta son the match against the fancied Thailand men doubles. My friend who watched the match said that the Thailand player played better overall. However due to the non stop support send cheering fro the home crowd, the Thailand men doubles bow down to pressure and lose their concentration thus losing the match.

Lots of upsets have been created today and of course history has also been created today.

In a highly contested match today Chong Wei feng won against Christie Jonathan. This will be his second consecutive win over Christie Jonathan. I understand very well that this young men single is a good player and has a very bright future to be a successful player. Once again congratulations to Chong Wei Feng for winning this highly contested match today. What a tough fight.

In the second highly contested match today mohd arif won his match against another highly top ranked Thailand player, boonsak ponsana. This player is so good that he won his match against firman Abdul kholik from Indonesia yesterday. Wow really big upsets here. Congratulations.

Goh Jin Wei also created history today for being the youngest WS player to play in sea games. She is only 15 years old and nothing is expected from her. However, she managed to win against nichaon jindapon highly ranked senior WS player. Congratulations. I believe she will continue her good run in sea games again. Wow congratulations.

Indonesia players are also very good and they continued their good run when 7 players of their players checked into the semi finals. It is indeed very good to see that Indonesia continue their good run in sea games. However, I felt sad to see lindawani losing to a lower ranked Vietnamese women single today. Maybe luck is not on her side today. Anyway congratulations to Indonesia for their good performance in this game.

Vietnam also created a big upset by winning over the highly ranked Indonesia women single, lindaweni to play in the semi finals. Wow what an upset. She is also the first Vietnamese player to check into the semi finals in the sea games. She really created a big history today.

Philippines also created a big upset when their men doubles checked into the semi finals today. This is the first time in sea games history a Philippines men doubles get to play in the semi finals. Good performance indeed and indeed they really make the Philippines citizens proud of them.

Very impressed with 15-yr-old Goh Jin Wei the way she dealt with Jindapon, I think she carries MAS best hope in WS in the foreseeable future. Despite her small stature, she covers the court very well with speed and tactical awareness. I believe she will grow taller and bulk up over time to be an even stronger player both in skills and physique. For the time being she is one of the main contenders for WJC.

Never expected SIN Loh Kean Yew to knock out the veteran Viet warrrior Nguyen Tien Minh. Just as surprised by Boonsak Ponsana's early exit.

Disappointed that SIN Liang Xiaoyu faltered at the QFs stage, defeated by INA Hanna Ramadhini, in a three-setter. I was hoping to see her in the finals if not win it.

Derek Wong, the Glasgow Commonwealth Games silver medalist, failed to repeat his earlier defeat of Tanongsak in the team event here, thwarted by the same opponent in the MS QFs. Incidentally, Tanongsak is looking to defend his SEA Games crown and will be facing Chong Wei Feng tomorrow in the semifinals.

According to SEA-games website Loh Kean Yew is only 17 years old, is that correct?

Yes you are right, he is only 17 years old. When he was 13 years old he was offered a scholarship to study at Singapore sports school. He was originally a good badminton player from Malaysia. Hence he moved to Singapore and study. He was asked to change his citizenship to Singapore in order to represent Singapore for tournaments. This is the reason. I just checked his particulars online. He is originally born in Penang, Malaysia. He has another brother loh kean hean playing for Singapore too in men doubles partnering Hendry wijaya also an imported player from Indonesia.

I apologize. For watching the replay of the final, it looks like Kevin used his previous victor eithe MX80 or MX80N.

I was thinking JS10 because in his forum people said he is using JS10 which was true. However in Sea games it is MX80/MX80N.
