Upset has been created today when Philippines MD won against a highly ranked Singapore MD player. The Philippines MD win the match straight set too. So pitiful to see the host country Singapore losing six matches today. Although the crowd cheered loudly for their players it is still not enough to motivate them to win. The only cheer for Singapore comes from their Ms derrick Wong who won against a Cambodian player and loh Kean yew a Malaysian born player who won his match today. The Singapore MD players both born in Thailand and Indonesia also added some cheers when they won against Laos today. Another mixed doubles player, terry hee yong Kai / tan Wei han did not play today and qualify to play in qf straight tomorrow. So sad to see the Singapore crowds cheered loudly for their players to win but to no avail.
There will be no video for that match cause only matches shown live in court 1 will have the videos. That match is played at court 2 so no videos.
I am going to be fair to both players now. Both played well, it is just that the third set is the determining factor today. Got v shem played so well in the first set. Markus played well in the second set. Then both played well in the third set. However every match must have a winner right? So in the end Indonesia won. My friend watched the matches live in the stadium told me this.
My friend told me that somebody requested to the organiser to put this match in court 1 but then the organisers said they cannot simply change the match from court 2 to court 1 so really wasted as nobody can watch this exciting match except for those that went to the stadium to watch it. My friend who had the opportunity to watch it live at the stadium said this match lasted very long nearly 2 hours as both sides wanted to win and refused to give up.
I asked my friends watching the matches live at the stadium to do some recordings of the matches at couth 2 court 3 and court 4 tomorrow if they are allowed to do so. Then perhaps I can share the videos here tomorrow hopefully.
Among the INA MS youngsters, how would you rank them? Jonatan (1), Ginting (2), Ihsan (3), Kholik (4) ?
This is being heavily discussed over here:http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/77142-Indonesia-Juniors-!!?p=2357199#post2357199
