Why? For picking the wrong players?

Hi you must be joking here? I guess so :D. For your information he won't. He selected the right players and hence the women team won today and unexpectedly enter the finals. He selected the right player no worries.

you should keep an eye on the other upcoming ones like Ihsan Maulana, Panji Ahmad, Vega Vio, Enzi Shafira and Ramadhani Zulkifli. They have different styles with a high level skill set. More experience, maybe in 3 years, we will hear their name more and more. Currently most of them are 16/17/18.

Actually, if you follow the Djarum Sirnas thread back in 2011-2013, you will know from the discussion, why all these players are so good. We discussed a lot about their development along the years....

I don't know why they did not stick to Anggia/Della Destiara which is the back up for Sudirman Cup. Instead they put Anggia/Ni Ketut here in sea games.

I think one of the reason INA WD are not performing in sea games is because they change the partnership too fast.

Line up for the finals is finally out for women team events

WS1, Ratchanok Intanon v Tee Jing Yi
WD1, Sapsiree Taerattanachai/Puttita Supajirakul v Vivian Hoo Kah Mun / Woon Khe Wei
WS2, Busanan Ongbumrungpan v Ho Yen Mei
WD2, Duanganong Aroonkesorn/Kunchala Voravichitchaikul v Amelia Alicia Anscelly / Song Fie Cho
WS3, Nichaon Jindapon v Goh Jin Wei

For WS1 it clearly looks like Thailand have an edge in terms of world ranking and skills.

For WD1 Malaysia have the edge in terms of ranking and plus their strong performance yesterday but anything can happen and results can go either way.

For WS2 Thailand seems to have an edge in terms of ranking but anything can happen. Not forgetting the Malaysian good performance yesterday. So anything can happen and the results is difficult to predict.

For WD2 Malaysia seems to have an edge here but anything can happen. The Thailand pair is not bad either. Difficult to predict the results.

For WS3 Thailand seem to have an edge here as the player has higher ranking but this youngster age 15 is good too so difficult to predict here.

As a conclusion to be fair to both of the teams I would say Thailand have an advantage in the WS while the Malaysians have an advantage in WD. Anything can happen and based on overall results and performance Thailand will be the clear favourites to win today but we will never know till the result is out. So stay tuned to watch the finals to know the results.

Finals line up for men singles team

    MS1, Jonatan Christie v Tanongsak
MD1, Angga Pratama/Ricky Karanda Suwardi v Bodin Issara / Nipitphon Puangpuapech
MS2, Firman Abdul Kholik v Boonsak Ponsana
MD2, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo v Sudkhet Prapakamol / Pakkawat Vilailak
MS3, Ihsan Maulana Mustofa v Suppanyu Avinghingsanon

For this match Indonesia seems to have an edge here based on their performance an they can even win the match here 3-0. Thailand on the other hand didn't perform that well as they struggled to win yesterday. Indonesia also have advantage because their team is more well balanced with good MS and also good MD.

Thanks for the corrections. I predict that this match will be a very tough one now that the line up has changed. My friend told me that the Malaysian team line up was changed at the every last minute. Never know why but just hope you will enjoy watching the match later.

Tee jing yee stands no chance might as well try lim yin fun. NO harm. No idea why they spilt the WD, perhaps Amelia stands better chance against sapsiree? hmm

mas only hope is win both WD and win 1 WS , banking on goh jin wei?

I think Malaysia need to rotate their players so they will not be too tired. For women team Malaysia is the only team that needs to play 3 matches, the rest just play 2 matches. Hence it is important to rotate the players. No choice here. Plus lai PEI jing is fresh as she hasn't play in any matches yet. That could be the reason. Plus players must be arranged according to their ranking. Hence Vivian/ lai will have to play as second wd as they have no ranking yet newly formed pair.
