Denmark bagged two titles in singles category through Hans Kristian Vittinghus and the upcoming WS Line Kjaersfeldt, the latter shocked home favourite Kirsty Gilmour in three games. The ideal final scenario happened in MS department, top-seed Vittinghus met second seed Rajiv Ouseph, these two familiar participants in Superseries level skipped HKG Open and trying to gain more point in Glasgow. The unseeded Japanese WD was unstoppable to top podium and eliminated their higher-ranked rival including top-seed and defending champion Stoeva sisters, Stefani and Gabriela. Russian XD also surprised their more favoured opponent, Fuchs/Michels, Labar/Lefel en route to bag title. Michael Fuchs redeemed his mixed doubles disappointment outcome to pocket MD crown with Johannes Schoettler to knocked out two English pairs in semifinal and final.
