Luck of the net cord to SIN. What a discovery is this SIN MD pair in this tournament, storming their way from the start to the end for ultimate victory !

A moment to be treasured for Singapore as it has taken them a long time to be in the podium again in GPG Gold events and above, I believe after Yao Lei/Shinta Mulia Sari's victory at the Singapore SS a few years ago?

BTW, Danny did win a GP title in Dutch Open 2013.

Heartiest congratulations to Danny/Chayut, virtually coming from nowhere to grab the MD Championship at the MAS Open GPG'14 - excellent job though it's only a GPG title but a very good start nevertheless.

They are unexpectedly effective today, with Chayut patrolling the net so efficiently, pouncing on any loose bird while Danny attacking from the back. Both deserved a fat payday (close to US$5k per person) and I really liked their combination. Let's see whether they can continue to perform well like Danny/Vanessa Yeo have done in the past 2-3 years in being at least a top 10 pair in the World (their best ranking was no 9).

A win is a win. It's not SIN's fault that other pairs are not participating.

Yup, what a big surprise created by SIN MD to eliminate two home fave pairs, well done!

Sad ending for home fans as the sole survivor Goh/Lim failed to retain their title. China won 3 titles with their back-up shuttlers, double joy for Huang Yaqiong to nail 2 titles. And Simon finally crowned MS title in gruelling match against Indian Sourabh Varma, congrats :)

Yes, you're right. It's possible to Singapore's badminton athletes to win World Badminton Championship. Congratulation to Danny/Chayut.

Congratulations, to Danny Bawa Chrisnanta/Chayut Triyachart, the Singaporean qualifiers, on their unexpected win.
In the process they beat HTH/TWK and GVS/LKW Malaysia's number 1 & 2 pairs and that is no small feat.
Hopefully, they will be motivated by their win and continue to deliver.
