The Thai mixed doubles pair of SudketPrapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam (S4) and the Thai number one WS player, Ratchanok Intanon, appear to be 'spent' forces as they have been losing to unseeded players early in the tournaments they participate in. What has gone wrong? Is RI just a one championship wonder? Has her success last year come too soon at a very young age? It is hoped that she is not over-pampered and thus not that motivated to strive for more success. In contrast the top Chinese WS players have been doing very well winning tournaments after tournaments.
well, he got a lots to catch up if he ever wanted to! Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand is the current record holder of first round exits in SuperSeries with a grand total of 30, and 17 out in 2nd round as well.
So, Srikanth and Kashyap are shown doors.. Unexpected victory for Tanvi Lad.. Beating Kirsty gilmour is something i did not expect.
you're welcome. and the least of them all, Lin Dan. only once he lost in the first round (even LCW managed 4x as much) to ............ drum roll ........... Park SH in 2007.
But all my attention and appreciation goes to Beiwan Zhang!!! She is so talented....she played so well against WC bronze medallist BYJ...hurray....no offense but I really dislike BYJ and her playing style!!
Yup, Park Sung Hwan, he has the rare distinction of being able to do to Super Dan what very few, hardly anybody, could - the most telling blow was the one he inflicted on Lin Dan at the Paris WC2010.
That wasn't a blow .... that was Lin Dan without any interest in playing, since LCW was already shown the door by Taufik. I know, I was there in the Arena.
Well, I really don't know what to say. He was supposed to go and win the WC but he, according to you, actually lost interest after knowing his archrival was booted out before the final. Never mind, it's all history and he's now already a 5-time WC recordholder.
Yao Xue by that 1st round exit to Kana Ito is not doing herself any favour, she may be relegated to competing at Level 3 GPG tourneys for a while, I reckon. On the contrary, Liu Xin by her fine victory over Intanon R just now will earn herself some significant lift and we may get to see her featured in more Level 2 SS events later on. Even more promising is Sun Yu who has already convinced LYB enough to be enlisted in the Uber Cup 2014 Team.
Yea, the livestream wasn't working during the KJ/LC vs Ahsan/Setiawan match, sickening. Going by the score, Kang Jun/Liu Cheng took a game off the top seed, taking G1 21-16, lost G2 21-12 and was edged out 21-19 in the 3rd after drawing level at 17-all, 18-all, 19-all before losing the last two points, a close fight it was.
considering the biggest upset for today session: V Shem Goh Malaysia Boon Heong Tan Malaysia - Japan Hiroyuki Endo [3] Japan Kenichi Hayakawa 21-13 21-11
It is probably way too early, but I have a feeling there is a top 10 combination with Tan Boon Heong again in the coming. Goh should fit the best. But they will try other combos as well. Tan could fit too. Hoon is not fit enough to form a stable and steady combination I believe.
