Don't forget three dozen is 36 and the MS main draw is limited to 32. There will be no tournament if this happens to the MS event unless the withdrawals are well spread out. My worry is that LCW may overstretch himself in the India Open against his much anticipated rival, CL and may really have to withdraw from the Singapore Open. CL is very eager to revenge his recent defeat to LCW in the AE and since he is not playing in the SO, he will go all out to beat LCW. And LCW, please be careful with the appetising curry! In any case LCW cannot take things easy in the SO for there are a few younger and able players from CHN, JPN, KOR, INA and DEN waiting to create the unimaginable. I'm looking forward to see so many young new faces in the various events at this SO and we may well expect some upsets. A great time waiting for Singapore badminton fans this year!
I will tell you if RI withdraw from SO next week but last time I met her last week her leg was less recovery.
In fact, I want to watch the most, are Chai Biao/Hong Wei and Xu Chen/Ma Jin. Unfortunately both pairs withdrew after won 2 rounds already. What are the reasons respectively? Anyone knows? Thanks
Someone said on Chinese forum that Hong Wei had gotten some sort of allergy the night before QF and that Xu Chen had re-triggered a foot injury.
