when Hong Wei was challenging the crowd during the match point of G1, the crowds roar seems to enter another gear. It went even louder !! We were on our feet's when LKW/GVS won the set. All of us were so ecstatic... Its a great moment to remember. IT's DEFINITELY one of the best evenings to remember...

It's so hostile to play in Msia, no wonder CL "purposedly" lost to Tago... smart choice, CL :p

Yes, I was watching the live stream. I was on my feet... :D

The crowd energy definitely was a significant factor in boosting the MAS pair and deterring the CHN pair.

Thank to Goh/Lim, my gf has finally promise me she's coming again nxt year with me. The crowd was fantastic. Taunting in our own turf is the right thing to do. Its probably the best thing to do since crowd is on ur side. Mari la !! Itu saja ka ?!

It's all in good fun. (As opposed to the hostility the PM and especially his wife received, the jeers have an edge to it.)

I think HW is pretty sporting as well, egging on the crowd like that. The Malaysian crowd is a pretty strange speciment. There are many Chinese supporters in the crowd, but equal in numbers are also the anti-Chinese ones (i.e. support any team against Chinese team), including those of Chinese descent. There are also fanboy/fangirl support for the pretty (e.g. Japanese players) and handsome (e.g. LYD). Characters like JFN are well-liked (partly must be due to his propensity to toss his racquets into the crowd), but he's well-liked everywhere.

GVS is pretty cool. He does not let his antics (nor his opponent's) affect his game. He's pretty serious when the shuttle is in play, unlike say, KKK. I think LKW is very nervous (he often shakes his racquet hand violently, I think to try to get rid of the shakes), and pumps himself up purposely to counter his nerves. All the other 3 are pretty cool cucumbers. With that kind of serving, it's a wonder the Malaysians won.

    ... double post ...

For the MAS crowd, if you're against a MAS (who is still in favour), it's pretty near unanimous against you.

Just speak some Japanese and they will understand why you support Tago.

Considering the situation and atmosphere, I think CB/HW behave very well. Credits to them.

Are you sure he purposely lost? Please prove it because he said he was having a fever.

As a neutral, i think the malaysia doubles is behaving like kids..

they should learn from their role model like LCW... behave like a gentleman with good sporting behaviour.

CL lost is a lost... don't claim underwear too big... Frankly, Tommy and Tago has improved.. you can see the aggressive attacking play by Tommy.

I wonder how long will LCW be able to hold them... LCW is getting old and he will not be as fast as those young guys in a matter of time..

Based on history, CHN players no need to show MC. They are the powerhouse and big brother.
If they say they are sick, they are sick.
If they say they are injured, they are injured.
If they say they are not feeling well because they drank too much cold water, they really drank too much cold water.
So long as BWF is notified.

It is not entertainment, it is annoying behaviour, and badminton does not need it.

Yeah, what was the deal between them? Did someone understand what they were saying? I hope they won't split, I like this pair, and I am happy they have finally won a title after so long.
