The China trios: Chen Long, Wang Zhe Ming and Tian Houwei are not real challengers?

How can we forget to take note of JOJ who is in excellent form of late, apart from his having homeground advantage which may or may not be significant depending on each individual.

Another sudden withdrawal, Boonsak due to ankle injury - the bad luck continues for this edition of the WC, a sad state of affairs, particularly hitting the MS.

Chen Long has had terrible form this year. So unless he has made a dramatic recovery, He can't compete with LCW. He already had several bad losses this year to LCW and other lower ranked players.

WZM is something like 0-18 against LCW. Do you think he has a good chance?

THW has largely been inconsistent. Winning some and losing some. He's a young player, so no shame on him, but a legitimate WC challenger is not likely.

THW is much better than WZM. His cross smash is really sharp.

The ones that are left had better take their chances then.

How about Jorgensen or Zwiebler to take the men's singles title?

Indeed. There is always the other side of the coin. This creates a big chances for players who have always been just a shadow behind the greatest players. And as Justin L said, this might be the biggest chance for Jan O to dig deep and take the title. As we know, there is no question if Jan O gives everything what it takes to get it Unfortunately he is on LCW's side in draw that makes it mentally hard.

Very sad news also to hear about Boonsak. One of the most entertaining players on tour as everyone has seen just a short glimpse of his skills. So much potential he has and can do things that no one else can, natural player.

So many withdraws now that it raises a question if these injuries have been already there or have these guys been practising so hard.. Of course it's also just about bad luck but now there has been too many of them certainly..

Ps. Do you know if BWF is streaming the matches from Monday? We are going to CPH on Thursday but it would be great to watch the matches before to get the feeling!

Well, well, the players are dropping like flies before it even starts from men's singles. BWF must now be sick at not inviting LD as it is clearly devalued even more than we thought....They must be wondering if they should now call LYB & offer LD a place at the big table.. The dreadful decision not to give wild card to LD will haunt them for a long time..

She was injuried before 3 day went to Nanjing and after I watch her played with HBJ yesterday,I think she should withdraw too.
