Chen Long is the goofball this time, then Chai/Hong couldn't handle the pressure, and finally DuPY feels the weight unbearable in the end. Congratulations to JPN for creating (one of ?) the biggest upset(s) in Thomas Cup history.
What Li Yongbo will tell to media now??? What an embarrassing defeat to top seeds... I thought china will win 3-0 but reverse happened.. Almost every member of this forum predicted different outcome.. So, predicting never gonna make results.. Only time will tell..
would that got anything to do with it? http://www.badzine.net/news/badminton-betting-at-risk-of-criminal-involvement/30380/ imagine the odds for China 0-3 Japan.
I can't help but agree with you, but, what to do. That's life, upsets do happen occasionally, you win some, you lose some, life goes on. As for CHN Men's Team, it's a wake-up call, and I believe they will emerge stronger in future.
I had to LOL at how Du was continuing playing the same sort of game after he had miraculously won the first when it was so clear that he had to change something to have any hope of winning. Why is he even in the team again? Or even any of the MS coaches? Congratulations to Japan! I'm sure they'd be hoping that Malaysia takes care of Indonesia tonight because they'd have it much easier against the Malaysians in the final.
Du Pengyu can't be blamed for the loss, 0-2 down and he never gave up. It is Chen Long and Chai Biao/Hong Wei who needs a tongue-lashing. The Japanese team wanted it more than the Chinese team, and they deserved this victory 100%! Congratulations to the Japanese team! They look strong contenders for the title against Indonesia or Malaysia.

Congrats to the Japanese TC team. Well done! Both MAS and INA will be smacking their lips and I expect both teams will go all out tonight. I am hoping for another upset tonight !! 3 -1 to MAS !
Congratulations Japan. Its a good awakening for China. And it took a 19 year old to do and show it to them. China depended on a veteran to rescue them on the other hand, in the third singles but depending on strategy is not enough, is it? Japan had a junior in both the T and U cup teams. So their grooming of talents is very successfuL In China its a tough and closed situation and promoting a junior is not easy. How do you do it ?
So, it is the best time to blame Lin Dan for whatever he has done over last couple of years! He'd probably be considered as the culprit! Sensational result!
Poor choice by Du Pengyu to waste his energy to come back in the 2nd game. He was down by quite a margin in the 2nd game and he should have played low energy shots to force Momota to move around the court more. Instead, Du Pengyu opted to smash over and over again in his failed comeback attempt in the 2nd game. By the end of the 3rd game, Du Pengyu had run out of gas and Momota looked way more fresh. Maybe that is Du Pengyu's style. I feel Lin Dan wouldn't have made the same strategical choice in the 2nd game. Lin Dan always manages his energy level correctly when he is up one game. He will not waste his energy in the 2nd game if he is down by quite a margin but will save his energy for the 3rd game.
Of course he can; if he had delivered, China would still be in it. You may have been impressed by that mediocre display that Du put up; I have higher standards. As for CL and the 1st MD, can't argue with you there. And of course, this is to take nothing away from the Japanese team who played brilliantly and utterly deserve their win.
