A scare for WYH. In team championship, CHN players are more vulnerable than usual, I suppose. The players' rankings don't mean much, it's more their character, state of mind, ability to deal with pressure that matter more, esp when you're shouldering a heavy responsibility to deliver the goods and not let the entire team down.

Perhaps after this unexpected showing by WYH, the CHN coaches might give a thought to letting Sun Yu have a go in one of the following rounds. Or maybe not as WYH would have learnt her lesson and be more experienced to handle such a tricky situation henceforth.

Yeah. BWF should review this otherwise it would be really unfair for several teams/players.

Even without Mathias Boe, Joachim Fischer is filling his shoes pretty well, a happy outcome for DEN.

This situation happens because the two teams are quite equal so the match duration are stretched.

It's very hard for the organizer to count everything, esp. when there's NO leeway for a day break after group match.

I guess these teams will be scheduled to play later tomorrow. Hopefully.

It's down to the wire for DEN vs JPN in the 5th match tiebreaker.

Understood your points but still BWF should really consider this to make the competition remains fair for all the participants.

the solution is quite simple but incur extra costs :D

have one day break after group match completion! Yet money is the commanding evil, and i guess those decision makers care more about the bucks on top of everything.

The match between Takuma [ranking 25] vs Emil [55] is quite exciting, unfortunately it's played at very late hour so perhaps it's skipped by many badminton fans...

Takuma is now 2 point away from winning the match 21-13, 19-17...

    ONE more point... 20-17, 20-18, 20-19, 20-20, 21-20, 22-20

    JPN 3 - 2 DEN
