TOO MANY "NO DECISIONS" render the Hawk Eyes USELESS!!!

I can only guess the hawk eyes system is still quite premature and of limited usage that it has many "No Decisions" and not because the men operating it were having toilet or tea breaks :D

The Indian women doubles pair won 8 consecutive points to take the first game from 13-17 down.

I'm amazed to see how they mop the floor using a small piece of cloth... why don't they use some bigger tool to do it more efficiently??

I took the screenshot when the commentator was saying from the serve till where the balls lands. It's being animated to show. Quite interesting.

The India-HKG tie is quite turning out to be contradictory to what I expected.

who's the sitting Indian coach (man) during the match of Jwala GUTTA/Ashwini PONNAPPA? Look like not an Indian face.

I'm quite surprised that Jwala/Ashwini managed to beat the HKG pair. I have always underestimated them, but they are better that i thought. No matter how much we can despise Jwala's attitude on and off the court, we cannot deny that she has forecourt skills and she brings something to this partnership.

The IND team lead 2-0 comfortably... and i don't think the HKG WS2 can stop Sindhu. A place in QF is secured for the host.

Meanwhile in court 2, Du Pengyu just secured the 2nd point for CHN team vs RUS, he's really a hardworking player!

I guess such quality helps him to win a place within the team (cf. the lazy style of WZM) :D

Tian Houwei's debut in Thomas Cup

Here's the DEBUT of TIAN Houwei in Thomas Cup, now playing against Anatoliy YARTSEV... guess Tian gonna fulfill his maiden appearance dutifully.

Congratz to IND UC Team to cruise through to QF

Early CONGRATZ to IND UC Team, by this victory against HKG team (atm leading 3-0), I believe the QF is ascertained.
Indeed I look forward to seeing the host team playing in the semifinals :)

With PV Sindhu's win India will move to QF in Uber Cup for the second time. I hope the opponent is not China, which always seems to be India's opponent whenever India reach QF in any team event.

I wish too...it'll be very unfortunate if the host team must face CHN in QF for the 2nd time. Against any other team, IND has some good chance!

And if IND can top the group C, IND surely will stay away from the threat.

Thanks, Yes interesting. Do you know who produced the animation? did it come from hawkeye's system or just the commentator drawing?

IIRC the sketch animation is a new feature called "Playzone" (!?), to be used in the broadcast for the very first time.

Luckily the MD pair Liu/Qiu won in a tight match...otherwise I think they will be parked for the rest of the matches :D
nonetheless they did not play convincingly tonight
if I were the coach, I would have considered over and over whether or not to field them in the knock-out stages.

    MD1: LIU Xiaolong/QIU Zihan bt Vladimir IVANOV/Ivan SOZONOV 19-21, 21-17, 21-18 in 1:02

Thulasi is a diligent and determined player...she plays patiently

if one does notice, she makes some funny gestures while readying to serve, moving back and forth as if swinging :)

    WS3: Thulasi P. C. bt CHAN Hung Yung 19-21, 21-16, 21-7 in 0:55

    IND 4 - 1 HKG
