At first I thought no CHN players will be in attendance here, with the event held so near the Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) which begins officially 31st Jan, yet we get a few CHN second stringers and juniors willing to compete, namely, Xue Song, Suo Di, Deng Xuan, MD Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen, XD Huang Kaixiang/Chen Qingchen, WD Yu Xiaohan/Huang Yaqiong etc.

Also found out that originally WS Sun Yu and Liu Xin were in but later withdrawn. Wonder if Suo Di and Deng Xuan in opposite halves of the draw can upset Sindhu and Saina respectively should they cross swords.

Suo Di withdrawn, that leaves Deng Xuan alone for CHN WS. Yes, Jindapon is, I think, the main threat to Saina and Sindhu as the other one, Suo Di , is out of the picture.

    Incredible India!
    (Could be Saurav Agrawal?)

    I'm told Jindapon has withdrawn.

Deng xuan is a good player. Though she is not same class of saina and sindhu, anything can happen at any time.
Just now saw , rituparna das has withdrawn. Ruthvika shivani is there in the path of deng xuan. Let's see whether this junior national champion can do wonder or not.

You're right. That means it shall be Saina vs Sindhu WS Final, with , most likely, Saina winning her first title of the year. Other IND WS to watch could be Arundhati Pantawane and Thulasi P. C., I think.

For the INA WS, I'd pick Bella to cause any upset; the other two have reasonable chances too, namely Lindaweni and Hera.

The MAS WS Tee Jing Yi is not without any chances of upsetting the higher-ranked players. The RUS Natalia Perminova isn't a weak player either, relatively speaking.
