First edition of WJC took place in Jakarta back to 1992 that only staged individual event while team event got debut in 2000. Some players who crowned WJ Champ also grabbed World Champion title at their senior stage. The most recent one is Thai prodigy Ratchanok Intanon (WJC 2009, 2010, 2011 and WC 2013).
