Wow, would they really do that to her? I'm always hearing Gillian repeat ad nauseam about how WYH was left off the team in 2010; it would be a really painful cut if she's axed yet again this year. Just how many can they field for the individual WS title at the Asian Games, anyway?

Such a shame for WYH to have thrashed Sindhu yesterday and have nothing to show for it!

It all depends on LYB and if there is a man who can make ruthless decision, it's LYB. You can only field two players for the individual WS tittle at the Asian Games. In the Women Team, you can field 10 players.

GC is a good commentator but she sure is a pain in the butt sometimes because whenever WYH played againts WSX, you would hear she talked about that Asian Games deselection and even worse is whenever WSX played, against any players, GC would talk about her OG deselection.

One can only hope that Brice puts up a more respectable score in the second.

And I didn't know that Brice is a member of this forum...I thought that the one who's a member is the Canadian player who posted recently?

You don't have much to comments about badminton. Most of them are repetitions.

Yes, my knowledge about badminton is poor and therefore I would prefer to hear what experienced people have to say about the subject. That's why I only talk about what I know and shut up about what I don't. And because I have very limited knowledge, most of the stuffs I said are repetitions. Do you have any problem with that?

Can the relatively unknown Yang Li Lian take a game off the semi-mighty BYJ?

    You are mistaken.

I am referring to GC as a badminton commentator, not you.
We have followed her comments since many years ago and most of them are repetitions.

Malaysian ws players have improved much. Atleast they have LCW as a sparing player for their training.

If only two can be sent, WYH is almost certainly out as LXR and WSX have been eclipsing her recently. I know that WYH has won a number of big titles this year, but I'd think the current world rankings quite accurately reflect the pecking order at the moment.

And I thought it is at the next Olympics where the number of participants will be reduced to two (from three) - have they really done the same for the Asian Games as well? Gillian always mentioned that WYH was one of four not sent in 2010 (or was she referring to the team event?). Maybe it's four that can be sent to the AG to participate in the team event, but only two out of those four can compete for the individual title.

I'd phase out WYH and Han Li now like they did with Jiang Yanjiao, Zhu Jing Jing etc previously

Especially Han Li who will never have what it takes to be a dominant singles player.

Give Sun Yu etc more gametime IMO

WYH is gonna be a spent force soon, her stamina and attitude has always been suspect.
