2014 Badminton Tournaments

Hey,

Badzine has a new poll running : Where would you like to watch badminton in 2014 ?

Which events would you like to attend next year ? Here is the link to the poll page, don't hesitate to vote ! You can choose up to 2 tournaments in a list of major events held in 2014.

It's hard to choose just 2. My preferences would be Thomas/Uber Cup(always on top every year it is played, more than Olympic), for 2014 next would be World Junior Championship

It is a hard choice between WJC and Australian SS(because it is the first SS in Australia and prize money is mouth-watering) and also SS final(because it would be the first in Dubai)

On normal year, since SS are yearly affair, not that attractive to me.

I prefer to watch Junior event because it is refreshing to see young players. Some more WJC has team event too. I like team event than individual.

Asian Games would be high on my list too.

Macau open had the highest GPG prize fund - USD200.000 why was it cut from the calendar?? All GP and GPG events shud have a title sponsor like the SS

Maybe the organisers were disappointed with their failed WC bid and are taking time to setup the Macau Open. I suspect it's heavily dependent on government funding.

World Championships tops the Badzine poll followed by the oldest badminton tournament, All England. Another BWF event Thomas-Uber Cups manage #4 position behind INA Open SS Premier, pretty surprising.

INA Open SS Premier is ranked #3

I think it's because most Badzine voters are from Indonesia. :):):)

IMHO, it should be. Why? It's because Indonesians are most excited about Badminton (more than any followers of Badminton from any other countries).
.

There will be Macau Open...but not part of GPG circuit...Korea GPG opted notnto be part of it too..because of stricter requirements...you just can't choose any stadiums to host GPG, you have to make sure all elements required by BWF

After all INA open had been chosen the best tournament in last 2 years
.
It's exactly what I've said:
Indonesian spectators/players/organisers are most excited about Badminton than other people from other countries.

We can see more excitement in all tournaments held in Indonesia (even at lower level tournaments).
