Well done THA for making the SF. They gambled with Rat and she delivered. A "not so smooth moving Rat" (thanks abedeng) was good enough to subdue the gritty Sayaka and propel THA through. Goes to show you the value of Rat to the TBA team, and her commitment to her country despite being crocked.

    SUPER SUPER RAT

Also congrats to INA for making CHN play all 5 matches. It was always a tough task to win the tie; I would say a 2-3 loss was as much as they could ask for. MS, WS and WD were all won in straight games by CHN. It's good to see INA continuing its revival

I think Denmark is not strong enough to beat China and China will not make the same mistake on MD match again. This time they will use LXL/QZH pair which beat BO/MOG in the last two super series.

Once again CHN will win MS, WS and WD at minimum. If JF/CP can give DEN the first point, it'll at least make the tie more interesting. Even if Bo/Mo wins, CHN still holds sway. In the extremely unlikely event that JOJ upsets CL (I have a better chance at winning Lotto), then all bets are off.

I think it's TA/LN game make her looks a bit inferior today. But the most important matter is that she lost, and almost cost the whole team. I guess we already know LYB hate losses, that's why i said MJ maybe won't get a spot in the next matches. But i sincerely hope i'm wrong.

With respect to Indonesia team fighting spirit today, i think you still need to differentiate 'could still be defeated' from 'could nearly be defeated'.

So far, since few years back, only Korea Uber Cup team whom could really defeated China team. And since 2013 SC still had 2 more stage matches, let's see if another team could re-do what Korea UC team did in 2010.

Should be 50-50 chance for both team, depend on the players appearance on court and strategy applied by the teams.

Congrats to Team THA for reaching the SF for the first time. A bright future for the Thais, especially for Inthanon Ratchanok.

How can they win? Their main weapon MD Mathias Boe/Carsten Morgensen lost twice back-toback to LXL/QZH. I predict 1-4. Denmark will steal 1 point from 1st match with XD pair:[FONT=arial, sans-serif] Joachim Fischer/Christinna Pedersen.

I foresee a three-match affair of this coming semi finals! Saturday night in MAS will be the testimony...the Danes will be purely in holiday mood soon after :D :p

China will send ZN/ZYL (the current Olympic champion) in the semifinal and CY/FHF will not play either. The QF result shows that they need to look to the future (younger players born after 1990) and they will - no matter what you have done in the past.

It's just unfortunate that Denmark doesn't have Tine Baun anymore; I could easily see her winning WS if she was in her 2013 AE form. Denmark can definitely win XD and MD so they'd only need one more point. WD is a gone case for sure, and MS looks unlikely too unless JOJ pulls something out of his hat (which I think he is capable of) against CL.

WS is hopeless too; I saw the Danish girl, Line, that was fielded the other day against Sayaka and some unknown Chinese WS could probably beat her.

Sigh...Tine might be able to contribute that crucial third point if she was still around.
