Chinese MD on a whole has been improving a lot the past few months. CBA is really putting a strong emphasis on improving MD right now. Strangely enough, Qiu/Liu lost badly to their teammates Hongwei/Chaibiao last week in Germany. I think Qiu is definitely the weaker player. Liu should parter with Chai Biao or Hong Wei.
I don't think CBA is actually using Chai Biao as a coach. Primarily, CBA wants to teach Chai Biao how to look for tactics and strategy changes within a match. He got to see intimate tactics in the bo/mo match. Chai has a great smash and overall has good technical skills, but doesn't have a mind for tactics, so CBA wants him to see first hand up and close how tactics make a difference in a match.
But I thought only coaches are allowed to sit there, and Chai Biao is, I assumed, holding a player's pass.
I don't know, but I still highly doubt our INA WS and WD can make an impact like those old days back in 90's to 70's
There is some hope circa 2008 when Lily pair up with Vita can beat some of best of Chn wd in single or team event But Lily come back to focus in xd
Well, it's a better choice since Lily made a bigger impact in XD with Nova and Tontowi. Anyway, AWANDA/POLII is losing the grip again. *sigh*
