China showed everyone even jinx can be broken if they tried hard and become stronger game after game.

Those sore losers and sour grapes outside, suck it up and look into the mirror before you start questioning China's abilities.

Indonesia and Malaysia are speechless for now. Lin Dan has shown he is definitely better than Rudy Hartono who played in the dinosaur period of badminton. He never failed his country for 10 years to win back the Cup. Simply Amazing

Congrats for China Thomas Cup Team to win 5 in a row.

Special note: LD, CY/FHF become the first players in Thomas Cup (maybe also in Uber Cup) to win 5 Thomas Cup titles in a row. Specially LD. 5 Thomas Cup finals as first MS and never lost in the finals. What an amazing achievement.

And China has finally broken the jinx of not being able to win at home after three failed attempts.

With Lin Dan + Cai/Fu, impossible is nothing

You know what happens if someone just always keep picking something out of you to complain, no matter what or how you are doing?

Congrats to China, as host they score double joy, after yesterday's successful to bring back Uber Cup, today they defend Thomas Cup, absolutely the best team in the world!
Both China Uber and Thomas team always win without dropping one match during this tournament, 5-0 and 3-0, perfect.

thomas, uber and sudirman cups finally held a reunion in china again after last 2 years the uber cup decide to visiting korea. ;)

but indonesia make it 5 in a row twice, am i right? so indonesia still the best in thomas cup i think? :D hehe

btw, as another member stated, china UC and TC teams won the cups with perfect scores, lost some games, but lost no matches. is this the 1st time in history?

China has excelled in every discipline,MS,WS,MD,WD,XD, whether in team or individual events practically winning all the major titles in the modern era. For them to be surpassed is almost next to impossible at least for a decade or two. That's perfectly alright to me as long as they continue to produce badminton of the highest quality.

To expect China to slow down so that others can catch up or close the gap is unrealistic and senseless as it will only serve to lower the overall standard of badminton. Conversely,it is for the rest of the world to keep trying and do their utmost to improve their standards. Didn't Indonesia's decline ,for example, cause us,not only INA fans, much sadness and disappointment? If the same thing happens to China not because some other country is better, then I am very worried badminton will one day become a dying sport. I trust that is the last thing anybody wants.

So let's hope China's rise will pull everybody up and not ask China to level down. Isn't this happening today with the level of badminton significantly higher than 10,15 or 20 years ago? Take the women's singles, I believe even the top 10th player can trouble any of the past greats. In the women's doubles, they are playing more and more like the men's, fast and furious.

To those who secretly or openly wish for China's downfall, please take heed of what I say here. China can only be defeated by someone better,no two ways about it. To think that today during the China-Korea TC Final, Gillian Clark, the commentator, said that Li Yongbo is aware of this problem so much so that he occasionally acceded to BWF's request not to send (any or some?) China players to certain tournaments to give others a chance. Let's hope this problem doesn't get worse and a solution for it found soon to the betterment of everybody.:)

Congrats to China. There was no way Korea could match them today (or any other day). Watch out Olympics, here comes Lin Dan and the gang!

If what Gillian said in the penultimate sentence in above is true, that's really sad and unhealthy for the sports. That means badminton players n bodies other than china only interested in glories instead of advancement.

In other sports, everyone would like to have the best players of the sports to play together. e.g. which tennis tournament would love to exlude the likes of Nadal, Federra, and Jokovic in order to "give others a chance"? Or the European cup to exclude Spain since they are winning everything (World Cup and European championship) in order to give others a chance?

This is the biggest joke and saddest thing of all sports' history (same if not as big when NBA players were forbidden to play national teams in order to give other countries a chance).

LYB'S said the other day that China was ready to send coaches to other countries to help improving the standards worldwide, yet not received good response, even from BWF...

It means that the other countries don't even have the desire to improve, don't even have the guts to challenge the best, but just like to enjoy some pseudo glory, even from being the handicap benefit side like golf!

That's the MS or team world champions won by LD:

    1 OG MS (08)
    4 WC MS (06,07,09,11)
    5 TC (04,06,08,10,12)
    4 SC (05,07,09,11)
    and
    2 World Cup MS (05,06)

Officially should be 14, the 2 World Cups were treated as invitation competition (as it only invites the top players to enter like Super Series Annual Grand Finals) and many people don't count them as world champions.
