haha yea he/she did. there were several comments made about the Japan players. and then many other stupid and disparaging comments made about other countries' players that he/she just seems to dislike. i will agree with you though; there are much worse forum users out there. whatever, its no big deal...
Cheung is one of the mods, they are the ones getting people off, not the other way round, so you asked the right person. BC's standard of decorum higher than certain other forums
watched a 39 years old guy competed in gymnastics representing Bulgaria for his 6th Olympic! old is all in your mind.
old isn't mean incapable of doing their best. those who speak low about elders should at least try to challenge them and beat them in the game. after all, they aren't old because they want to. WHO WANTS TO BE OLD anyway? can't help it but just go along the aging process.
Day 2 thread up and running http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...atches-(Sunday-29-July)?p=1940926#post1940926
I'd be very surprised and even a bit dismayed if repentedboy was banned based on such a flimsy excuse or supposed misbehaviour when what he did wasn't even a transgression; in that case, many more, such as those who accused CJ of cheating when he didn't violate any rule/law, ought to be subject to the ban long ago. He's annoying, irritating yes and at most deserve a chiding or criticism of view in counter-argument, no way does it merit a ban. As an analogy, when someone says a certain government official is lousy and incompetent, that's tolerable but not when he's accused of corruption, cheating or accepting bribes which tantamount to a criminal offence such that if no evidence is forthcoming then it calls for redress. Hopefully, the mods will make clear their stand fairly and justly, and apply their standard with consistency across the board. A line should be drawn between fair comment and malicious attack. Just want to say my piece and end it here. Thanks. Let's move on.
Off topic: we do not comment publicly on suspensions from the forum. We do scrutinise posts and give a considerable amount of leeway on interpretation. We also examine reports to us on particular posts that posters think are past the boundaries. Sometimes there are requests for punitive action. We try to act as fair as possible. We do think that we are less heavy handed than some other forums. We also look at the overall situation and not just the postings in isolation.
Maybe you should read the book by Steven Levitt titled Freakonomics. If Levitt were asked by BWF to check on cheating based on data analysis, he will find it too simple compared to the cheating cases uncovered in his fascinating book.
Nor me...though I sometimes find his post ridiculous but not the extend of being banned. Some of his posts are with facts and he sure did repent a little. Someone is going to be very lonely.
