    Dear readers,

I am new to this forum.

If you want information regarding the competition recently held in Perth, please visit

    http://ausjuniorinternationalbadminton.blogspot.com.au/

I am a lawyer with 2 sons aged 14 and 16 playing at State level and representing WA.

This is the first time my children have taken part in an International event.

I have been blogging my children and their team's badminton journey so that all parents can read how their children are improving. This is especially helpful when the parents cannot follow the children to the National competitions.

I was asked by Badminton WA to write a blog for this competition. I hope your readers enjoy the blog although it was slanted towards the Australian side in the beginning. Thanks.

    Next tournament

Hafiz Faisal will participate in Thailand Open tournament. He will be paired with Putra Eka Rhoma (MD) and Pia Zebadiah (XD). Currently he is ranked 9th in the world junior men's doubles and 2nd in the world junior mix's doubles

Well done on Indonesian team for winning most of the U-19 Australian junior. I was there and had the experience to see the youngster played very well and enthusiastically incredible.

A bit pity Mapasa lost to Alcala.. She may need more International level experience and train harder to be world class player, but of course her natural ability has been shown through out the competition.

All the best with the Indonesian team in the future, hope to see these young guns populating the world ranking soon !!!

    Go Indo badminton!!
