I dont think KT can beat CL. I would like to see KT win, but no, I really dont think he has a chance.

Tago's been decent this year though. Both losses so far has been to LCW.

If Tago uses the right strategy he can upset CL, although I don't think it's likely to happen. I don't think CL is in top form in Birmingham, as evidenced by his struggles with Tommy and NTM. This is as good an opportunity for Tago as any.

Many matches to look forward to:
    • TH v LD - we can dream of TH creating the mother of all upsets, can't we?
    • LXR v Saina - a good measuring stick for Saina to gauge how close she is to the next great CHN WS player.
    • Hong Wei/Shen Ye v LYD/JJS - the sky's the limit for the young, exciting Chinese. The Koreans have not hit top form yet.
    • WYH v Tine - a titanic battle awaits with WYH holding a slight edge.
    * Tago v CL - who knows what the mercurial Japanese can pull out of his hat

i prefer watch Daren Liew vs Lee Hyun Il - let's see whether Daren can make the 1st time ever semifinal for his career...

Chan Peng Soon/Goh Liu Ying vs Chris Adcock/Imogen Bankier might be interesting as the latter has big home advantage... (hope Chan/Goh make another semifinal apprearane for a second time after Malaysia SS this year...)

It's really good for INA MS yesterday as Badminton art master Taufik still has it to defeat badminton robot.Meanwhile, his wannabe - Hayom - represent another winning of art as he able to take Muscle Sho out.But still, today they will bow out as they will face two Badminton Gods that have different level, FRI, MAR 9, 2012 and LCW.

Neither Daren nor the XD pair have anything to lose so they can go out and play "loose". LHI is super experienced so I think he'll overcome Daren with room to spare. Bankier/Adcock will be under tremendous pressure since they are the home town heroes. But to their credit, they have delivered so far. I expect them to edge it and send the crowd home happy.

LCW must give some tips to Daren. Not impossible. Just play a tight and rally game. Pounce on it when opportunity comes. If he keeps his shots low, there's nothing LHI can do. Stamina wise, both should be the same. Daren's fault is his own mental. It's up to him to take on LHI. He must think that he is now in top 8 big boys stage. ;)

    MD is interesting. ;)

Is this the same Shen Ye who used to partner with He Hanbin 3-4 years ago?
If so, then he's not that young anymore. Gonna be 25 *officially* next Sunday.

Shen Ye is shorter player while Hong Wei is much taller player, this remind me the long time legend Cheah Soon Kit and Yap Kim Hock who they are tall-short pair...

With a very favourable draw in 2 early round, Liew Daren has big chance to progress to his first ever appearance in a SSP tourney SF!
