It's good that Markis Kido will only be required to play in just one match on Day 1.

i have a sneaking suspicion that ..many malaysians share my sentiments.... this year has not been a good year for malaysian sports...(or any year for that matter).... (unless you are a squash queen or a cyclist)..... this will not be the year of malaysian badminton just yet... the same bad habits are being repeated year after year.... too high expectations.. undue and unnecessary pressure added on the athletes...allowing politicians to say and meddle too much about the sports they know little about... in the media...

case in point.. note the media hype about the malaysian national football team during their runup to the malaysia singapore world cup qualifier game....

or am i just being mr pessimistic here?

but i will still yell boleh!!! until i am hoarse

Good chances for Malaysia could come from LCW and KKK/TBH

Good chances for Malaysia could come from LCW and KKK/TBH. For the others, I think they could find their opponents too tough for them, IMHO. :):):)

as much as i like badminton, R64 are sometime painful to watch.

In the MS it's actually 64 players, Jan O Jorgensen is still listed although he was replaced by Hans-Kristian Vittinghus. Also the number of pairs in MX is 47, there are also some (early) withdrawals. The other numbers should be correct though.

abedeng, You are always lucky to be able to watch it live at court-side. Hope that your total watching-time will be longer than your total flying-time to get over there and back. :D:D:D
