I have never watched any of the pairs making some trick shots before... And I doubt they will... I believe that the crowds are focusing more on those chinese women doubles pair in court 2 that are currently playing right now...
Don't judge a book by its cover;never judge a person by his looks. It's the heart that really matters, but the human heart is difficult to fathom. Peace,Happiness and Joy to the world!
this is strange... so in MD group A... Ko/Yoo and Chai/Guo have the same number of points!!! Both with 134 points?
Which is why I think a match isn't purely based on skills, sometimes other factors like a player's psyche, the X-factor (whatever that means) can tilt the balance the other way;otherwise it will be impossible for the weaker player to ever beat the stronger one, but skills still play the largest part most of the time.
But that requires great experience and much wisdom;even so,it's not advisable to be too quick to judge others, better to judge oneself first, for in the best of us,there is some evil, and in the worst of us,some good;therefore, each of us ought to be responsible for and to ourselves.
But Fujii/Kakiiwa still eliminated. only 1 Japanese entry tomorrow, Reiko/Ikeda Reiko/Ikeda will benefit from this long match that their teammates fought. Zhao Yunlei may be tired tomorrow. But still I think they can't beat them. If they can, BC poll jinx strikes again.
Just thinking aloud again. If Wang Xin were purely playing for herself, she would probably beat Saina today. But,she felt she was carrying China's hope on her shoulders and wilted under the burden;nerves , the fear of letting down the nation, and living up to others' expectations become paramount - she was no longer in control of herself, every stroke she executed was done too consciously instead of by natural instinct and skill acquired from years of practice... (Pardon my sentimentality. I tried to put myself in her shoes and got carried away. Don't read it as giving excuses for her;just my subjective observation)
. IMHO, in that match, WX did not have good control with her Lifts and Clears. Those shots were centimeters out. She gave SN about 10 points in the whole match. Credit to SN for being able to judge those shots as 'out'. And when WX went on the offensive, she was smashing from too far back (from her back tram-lines). WX was also smashing too hard from the back, trying to finish off the rally. SN did not have problems blocking those smashes; And when SN blocked those smashes to WX's fore-court, WX was under pressure (time-wise) to get to those block returns. If I were ZN, I would tell WX not to smash too hard from her back tram-lines. From the back tram-lines, smashes are hoped to create bad returns, not hoped to be as winners. WX won more points from her deceptive strokes than from her smashes, examples; cross-court sliced-shots, net hold-and-flick strokes, good net-play, etc...... In the 'expected' return match, let's hope WX would play with more patience; Smash harder from mid-court, smash softer from the back tram-lines. .
